  1. In the next paragraph it states they pulled it off the market for now and will bring it back when the time is right. Doesn't sound scrapped to me just on hold.
  2. I'm surprised Metronational didn't purchase this property to expand their mixed use development across Bunker Hill. I think ther they already own the long vacant Toys-R-Us property next door.
  3. As much as I would like the TMC3 Campus to come to fruition it is still very much so just a concept. The TMC does not have funding for the development and UT or any of the other institutions have signed on for the campus.
  4. New brochure for Redemption Square previously known as S.PA. (So glad that they changed the name) Looks like a great development. Brochure has some nice renderings and site plans. http://www.generationpark.com/downloads/Generation_Park_Retail_Opportunities.pdf
  5. It will probably end up being like the The Galleria mall with with high rises and parking garages integrated into the mall and its surrounding parking lots.
  6. People keep on bringing up TMC and TMC3, this project is not only limited to medical that is probably why they are not concerned with being closer to TMC or a part of TMC3
  7. What I get from this statement is that they are going to repurpose the existing buildings.
  8. I think it looks great. these developers just can't win with some people. When developers use stucco people complain about it and say they should have used brick. Then when they use brick people find a way to complain about the brick.
  9. Houston needs a real Aquarium like the one in Atlanta.
  10. Seriously ? That question is a joke right . . . ?
  11. Planned 16 story residential condo tower containing 40 units. Address: 4906 Tilbury Drive http://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/columnists/sarnoff/article/Luxury-builder-bets-high-end-sales-will-continue-6443472.php
  12. Why so much interest in 609 & Capital Tower but no interest in 6 Houston Center? Are 609 and Capital superior buildings? Are they being marketed better? I'm just curious because it has been proposed so much longer.
  13. Baker Hughes was suppose to purchase that property and build a new corporate campus. With Halliburton aquiring Baker Hughes I doubt that will be happening. Maybe another company purchased the land.
  14. "Lots of firsts for Generation Park: its first anchor tenant is also its first Fortune 500 corporate campus: FMC Technologies acquired 173 acres, which is nearly the same size as the new ExxonMobil campus. McCord Development’s John Flournoy (nice catch, John!) tells us that the subsea technology giant for the oil and gas industry will be consolidating all of its Houston-based operations at Generation Park, including its global HQ, and is nearing completion of its first phase on 70 acres. Early next year, approximately 2,000 FMC employees will be moving to Generation Park in over 1M SF of office and workshop space as part of the first phase. Also new is the S.PA, Generation Park’s first corporate lifestyle center. The 52 acres is scheduled to break ground later this year and will be home to corporate office users and a mix of amenities like restaurants, hotels, conference centers, healthcare centers and child development centers. Stolt-Nielson, a leading European logistics company, recently acquired acreage in the S.PA and by winter, two hotels will be under construction. Yet another first: a 57-acre San Jacinto College campus will focus on serving the community and partnering with companies located in Generation Park to help train their current and future workforce."
