hindesky
Goree Architects have a self storage building "On the Boards" for this location. HCAD and Google Maps show the address to be 1200 Givens St. https://goree.com/our-work/?type=on-the-boards
IntheKnowHouston
1200 Givens St recently changed hands. According to documents filed with the Harris County Clerk, Summer Street Retail LP sold the 0.78 acre parcel to Anadi Hotels. Anadi Hotels' portfolio mostly includes Holiday Inn Express and La Quinta Inn hotels. It's likely one of those brands will be built on this property in the Sawyer Heights neighborhood. https://www.anadi.com/ Edited December 2, 2022 by IntheKnowHouston 2

springcityparts
🙌 I love all the hotel development happening around the central neighborhoods. When I had moved away for work and I visited Houston, I never understood why there were such few options outside of CBD
Amlaham
Residence inn usually look like the cookie cutter hotels :/ would prefer the land to stay empty in that case
springcityparts
Still, residence inn is part of the Marriott brand and no matter what the hotel looks like, nowadays they add some lobby activity and all those guests are real cash spending guests that are looking for things to do in the area

Texasota
There are some nice urban Residence Inns (it's a step up from Towne Place Suites) and, given the size of the lot, I'm actually hopeful for something decent.

hindesky
This was a couple days ago and then the last pic is from yesterday. PSI has started doing core drilling for soil samples. I asked them if they knew what it was for and one of the guys said a hotel. I told him a Residence Inn.
