houstonmacbro
The Black Eyed PeasI think I have to agree with you on this one. I am not sure what the appeal is. Their music is catchy, but it is about as useful as a flat tire.Did no one yet mention Milli Vanilli. Not only were they cheesy, but they were lip-synching to boot. TJones
And Fergie, too. The Duchess of Yuck. Butter face! This just proves that all your taste is in your mouth ! Nothing wrong at all with any part of Fergilicious, except maybe her BLADDER ! WHOOPSIE ! ! ! Maybe hitting those highnotes can sometimes cause incontinence ? Maybe one too many tequila shots with beer chasers before a concert ?
KimberlySayWhat
Ha ha! Is that Fergie picture doctored? Eww. I like some of Fergie's music, but did you see her on that Diana concert special last night? She was terrible live. She was in Houston a few weeks ago singing in a Verizon store parking lot. ArchitecturalPRGirl:New Kids for sure are the cheesiest!!! I actually always hated them, even when everyone thought they were cool. I did like MC Hammer though. lol Ahh, I bet you were one of those anti-New Kids snobs like my sister. She's older than me. I remember once we were arguing and she just had to insult NKOTB saying that Erasure was way better and I shot back, "yeah, well they don't make Erasure dolls, do they?!" That's not a good point to make in an argument like that. I liked M.C. Hammer, too. Did anyone remember Hammer's "Addams Family" rap? I'd equate that too "Ninga Rap" by Vanilla Ice. Bad bad. I had a big poster of M.C. Hammer on my bedroom ceiling, a couple of posters of Vanilla Ice and the rest of my room was pretty much wallpapered with NEW KIDS, baby! Too bad I no longer have my Kew Kids T-shirt collection. I swear I'd wear them. They'd probably fit. Maybe.
KimberlySayWhat
How about The Party? They were nice and cheesy. I still have their CD, too. My favorite was Damon, the one at the bottom. He's from Clear Lake.

KimberlySayWhat
DJ V Lawrence:1. Jimmy Ray http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcYBmS8Hm5gOh! Jimmy Ray! I have that single."Are you Jimmy Ray? Who wants to know?" Enrique Iglesias is a good candidate. There was a time when I was blind to his cheesiness (though I knew it in my heart). I went through a big Enrique phase. That started to wane after I saw him live at the rodeo. He's a bad singer live and he's super cheesy on stage. It honestly made me reconsider why I liked this guy. I still like some of his songs. Vertigo58
1. The Lambada - dance song (cant recall the group)This was supposed to be the song and dance that was to become the next big dance craze, and it flopped after about 2 months! The dance moves were very erotic and suggestive. Girls swaying hips real hmmmm. It was carnal knowledge on the dance floor. Still remember Liza Gibbons & Mary Hart trying to push the microphones onto dancers to see 1st hand what it was like. It fizzled as quick as it came.2. Rick Dees - DISCO DUCK - Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!Another pathetic one that ignighted the SNFever craze. I am sure if you go to Youtube you will find, but it's just too scary to even begin trying to listen too. Listen if you dare and the most fkd up part is when Rick Dees actually does the ducks voice. He's like Howard-The-Duck on Viagra! Hey baby let me get some.....sick, sick ,sick! I bet its in a time capsule some where? Hell?

Here is another funky one from the 80's her name was REGINA! Dont tell me she's the one that sang: Two of Hearts, two of hearts that beat, I,I, I,I,I, I, I need, I Need, I,I,I,I I need. UHHHHHHH!!!!! Last time I heard it there were women pole dancing to it full frontal. Can't even recall goofy the video or whatever. She must be washing dishes somewhere. Oh my God, I even know where I was when we 1st heard. I really thought it was contrived by local DJ's trying to jack with everyones heads. I think it was a real recording. Wish I could listen to but here at work It will set off the water sprinklers. Any song that had to do with the CB Radio craze had to be destroyed too. Breaker, breaker one nine. This is yur big buddy. Breaker, breaker... People even proudly wore T-Shirts hailing the new CB Radio craze. Uhmm, Maalox please...

Vertigo58
These two were way before Seigfreid & Roy in Vegas. The dark haired guy really went off the deep end when he started using way too much eyeliner and his perm was quite funky. Whats with those spandex pants? I'm scared. "I all outta Love, I cant live without you". "What are thinking of, what are you thinking of?" They must have gone on to do Broadway tunes. TJones
Air Supply played at my Junior High in 1982 or '83. Apparently one of my classmates was the dark haired one's Nephew. I remember thinking back then just how much they sucked, and that's not a pun !
KimberlySayWhat
I have an Ace of Bass CD. I liked them for a short time. That "Two of Hearts" song isn't bad. I like it, I like it. This thread could go on forever. Here's another: The DeFranco Family singing their 1973 hit, "Heartbeat, It's a Lovebeat". Before my time, but I love that junk! And, um, yeah those Air Supply pants aren't flattering at all. I bet you had some, TJones.
TJones
Hey now, Parachute pants and a Generra color changing shirt was standard issue in those days. You WERE NOT cool, unless you had at least one Swatch watch and a pair of Guess jeans or Z.Cavariccis also. Now, Milli Vanilli was some good cheese, in fact it was Velveeta, my favorite, because it was processed cheese, and NOT the real thing.
Vertigo58
Ok you asked for it! We still have 1 of my big sis Donny albums at moms house and it still has big scratch marks across the whole thing! I recall me and bro getting a big screwdriver and going at it! Yippeee! Oh my God! Is that Bobby Sherman? Oh no The Hudson Brothers! I need a drinky poo. TJones
Vertigo, didn't the Hudson bros. have their own TV show back int he 70's probably around '74 ? It was like a Saturday Morning show like the Bay City Rollers had.EDIT: Nevermind, I found it, that's what the internet is for RIGHT ? But I always thought the name of the brothers was something else. You helped a ton with that pic though. I remember watching them, when I was in a really rough time of my life back then. I had my eardrum burst 9 times that year, and I remember that show calming me down from the pain, because I liked it so much, it would make me forget that I had unbelievable pain in the left side of my head. Thank You Vertigo.
