East River: Mixed-Use Development By Midway
springcityparts replied to citykid09's topic in Going Up!
I went to the ribbon cutting of a trail near Glenbrook Park on Sims Bayou sometime last year. One of the local residents was complaining to the politicians. He was asking how come they don’t line up their bayous with concrete how they’ve done in the “rich parts of town”. Meanwhile, the Heights is working on removing the concrete from WOB https://www.hcfcd.org/Activity/Active-Projects/White-Oak-Bayou/Lower-White-Oak-Bayou-Channel-Restoration-Study- 2,037 replies

Are they getting rid of Lilith’s Way (The Montrose Morge)?

What is the purpose of this lefter from Central Houston to FHWA? I read it as if Central Houston is backing away from footing the bill for some of these improvements, but maybe because federal dollars may now be available to fund these so-called civic opportunities?

Yeah I heard just a couple of days ago that it’s another restaurant by Agricole Hospitality, the restaurant group behind Coltivare, EZ Liquor Lounge, and Eight Row Flint

Tower cranes have always been so fascinating to me. They sort of are footprints of the height of the building that’s to come. Their sight can signify so much from excitement, dread depending on who you are but also overall might- 165 replies

Just realized Van Leeuwen has a location at Radom Capital’s Montrose Collective. Pretty decent ice cream, overall very happy with this lineup so far! This area really needs a small grocer/convenience shop like Blue or Foxtrot and if there are any remaining spots I hope something like that opens up here

According to TxDOT, they are about 35% in design and they have done some soil sampling. On track for groundbreaking fall 2024 *fingers crossed* Hoping to see Houston Parks Board enter an Inter local agreement with TxDOT to take over maintenance for embellishments of the bridge such as lights, extra width, benches , etc that txdot wouldn’t do by themselves -
For a place like that I imagine rent is close to 15,000-25,000 per month but that’s just a my guess

Yeah they had better not have garages facing Waverly with the perfectly good alley

I agree. This is a great location. Looks like Heights will be getting its own Bunkhouse operated hotel. Hopefully this will be the spark that gets both neighborhoods dotted with boutique hotels - a few around museum district would be very nice too

Montrose and The Heights - always one upping each other

Are they referring to this Daphne hotel or a separate project?
