    Need to explore it a little more. My mother lives in Ingram, so we usually don't get a far as Hunt. Have been to Criders Rodeo a couple times. That is a worthwhile thing to do.

    Was saddened to see this happen. These buildings were great atmosphere. I fear the this will just be parking for the building across the street.

    Yes. 5th Ward. There is a guy on the Midway Payroll who plans the windows, among other things, I assume. So, trying to figure out this course. To me, it appears that there are 18 tees for 9 holes. Maybe it is the reverse of that, but it's not how I am interpreting it. Not quite sure how that would work when the course gets busy... if people are playing from 18 tees.

    @j_cuevas713This was just a really bad idea who's time never came. Those in the Paris suburbs though, unfortunately, did. Yikes.

    Liking the sound of that. Not sure why Brooke Shields' photo is on all of the menu's...but more raw bars are always welcome, IMO.

    Wear a suit. Act like you know what you’re doing. Research and find out the name of a company located above the sky lobby. Pause in the lobby like your early for an appointment and go look out the window. Leave the kids at home.

    Oh yeah. Lots of activity. 1. They installed new towers to span the power lines across the Bayou and removed the old one which was very close to future Building F site. 2. They've raised the grade of the Building F site, by 5 or 6 feet. 3. They've scraped/cleared most of Phase 1 and appear to be getting ready for utility and road work. 4. Construction materials (mostly pipe) are have been brought in and being stored in a secure area. 5. And work is continuing along the bank further east as well as on the Par 3 and Ice House.

    Pleasant surprise, indeed. Even more, it'll be open to the public, next fall. Let's hope that there is more good news to follow for the Library space.

    There doesn't seem to be much overlap from the list which was found/shared a few months back. Here is what I can see from HEEC photo. It's not all readable: Proposed: 1.     The phrase "Being Taken" is misleading. Owners of properties are being compensated. Business can move, change or cash out. Happens all the time.

    Been waiting eight years for this. Purchased my home over here because of what this property appeared to offer...long before Midway was involved. Planted a pine tree shortly after moving in, which was 5' tall... is now 30' tall.

    There are a few bridges indicated in the BBP's Eastern Sector Masterplan. But I doubt that this is what is going on here and now. There has been working going on the north and south banks of the bayou in this area. It could be that the foliage was cleared for equipment access or perhaps a connecting trail. But, I think it is still early for a pedestrian bridge in this area.

    This is a really exciting project. This will allow RCI to position their largest class of vessels, which are the largest Cruise Ships afloat, in Galveston. Royal Caribbean Group (Parent Company) also owns Celebrity Cruises which hopefully will someday also be introduced to the Market. Galveston is already the third largest cruise embarkation port in the US, and this Major Terminal is a very positive step for the Island overall.

    Just to belabor the point…I ran a quick check on the prices of a single taco at Fusion and Torchy’s…the cheapest I found was $3.75 (Fusion)and most expensive was $6.95 (also Fusion). So, La Calle, actually, seems to be charging about the going rate. Looking forward to giving this place a go.

    Furthermore, the Caps in midtown are far more modest than along the east side of downtown or over I-45, are associated with the MetroRail lines, are adjacent to The Ion blocks and part of planned streetscape improvements in the that district. I'd say that these are very likely to happen. Which would, also, add to that win.

    …the depressed highway with cap park, instead of a raised structure with with whatever underneath would be all that it would take for me to support the idea, if I lived in that neighborhood. I can see why they support it. And I’m sure the President of the association does speak for the m the interested consensus of the neighborhood. That’s what he’s elected to do.
