  1. Does anyone know the proposed timing on ground breaking? I thought closing Rosalie was a sign this thing was going to kick off - the comment above scares me about no financing - certainly our great COH wouldn't shut down the street and majorly move the power lines for a project not locked in?
  2. http://i.imgur.com/JlukWHu.jpg Pretty excited just got back from China and what do I see from my balcony in Montrose?? http://i.imgur.com/JlukWHu.jpg
  3. Nice! Score one for MIdtown - stole them from Galleria. 1717 St. James Place Suite 110 Houston, TX 77056-3496 Houston Office
  4. ya - still surprised the city let this project go forward. I think somewhere in page 1 or 2 - someone said ya it's going to flood all the time and lo and behold it has flooded all the time. SMH -
  5. Hey - his name is Amir and he's there about all day and night recently - white suv - should be easy to spot this week as it seems they are really getting close to opening. For or what it's worth he said a lot of things that impressed me about fitting in the neighborhood and how he isn't trying to force his vision on the place rather let the hood dictate what kind of place it becomes. Best.
  6. he said adding a few stories with parking garage where St. Dane's is - very second hand info.
  7. I'll post a pic - it's come a long way - i think they should go with name "THE MONEY PIT"
  8. Spoke with owner - getting close to opening - will be called Sterling House - neighborhood bar & grill - said St. Dane's was bought out by stripcetner next door. Entire plaza with maple leaf will be re done.
  9. Have any of those broke ground? The 1810 Main would be good progress in that area. Sadly don't see anything getting off the ground in the current environment - happy for what we got.
  10. Fantastic! I live close to this area - actually between here and the New Whole Foods - Me So Happy
  11. http://www.chicagotribune.com/ct-which-companies-moved-from-the-suburbs-to-the-city-interactive-map-20150716-htmlstory.html Commercial real estate services firm CBRE tallies more than 3.4 million square feet of office space sucked up by large moves of companies relocating to the city, those that encompass more than 10,000 square feet. Forty-five companies, including big-ticket employers like AT&T, Capitol One, Walgreens, Motorola and United, have relocated.
  12. Not trying to kick a dead horse - but in Chicago companies are abandoning their suburban campuses fast as they can and they are moving Downtown. They can't get the young talent they need on a yearly basis or find themselves constantly losing top talent to companies headquartered in CBD or in the City. Wonder if Exxon will regret the move North? What could have been? I do like that photo though.
  13. I think since the redo - Pappas does good business and even is pretty full at night. With the new residents I see them only doing better. Book store and storage - good riddance. I know a few O&G engineers that get books from that specialized store though I imagine they could just go online?
  14. Off topic - in the pic above - what was the Westin/Inn at the Ballpark before ??
  15. Bagby House? Bar http://www.datalog.co.uk/browse/detail.php/CompanyNumber/USTX0801783129/CompanyName/BAGBY+HOUSE+LLC
  16. no one knows? Its almost done - looking better every day - workers still say they dont know if bar or restaurant?
  17. Rosalie looks to be closed for demo - block will encompass the street and north side block Pic Pic
