mrfootball
Noticing a great deal of construction along the 290 corridor past FM 1960 with 4 new hospitals and an array of professional buildings under development. So far we're looking at Memorial Hermann, Columbia HCA, North Cypress Medical Center, and another unnamed project near Cypress-Rosehill.
brijonmang
well when you have the neighborhood boom like we are having, you gotta make room in the hospitals too...lol
Trophy Property
well when you have the neighborhood boom like we are having, you gotta make room in the hospitals too...lolI was thinking the same thing. If they are building 2 new High Schools out there is a need for a hospital or two.

MidtownCoog
So when is 290 going to catch-up?
HoustonMidtown
So when is 290 going to catch-up?They are widening (or adding more overpasses - or both) out 290 where it turns into 2 lanes....I just drove to College Station yesterday and couldnt believe all the road construction....near Navasota on HWY6 they are widening the old 4 lane (2 lanes each way with no center divider) to looks like what will be a 10 lane highway (it wont be that wide, but they are clearing a huge stretch of land beside the current road)....pretty impressive construction project - from Navasota all the way to College Station...
mrfootball
This is pretty retarded, widening it out to college station, so that more communities will spring up further NW...whilst doing nothing to fix the nearly unbearable traffic from Spring Cypress on into the West Loop. (widening project set to commence....IN 2011!!! ) Makes no sense. It would be nice if all of those Aggies at TXDot (and in the legislative lobby) who approved this upstream construction would fix 290 (from Spring Cypress to the West Loop) before throwing all this pork money towards B/CS. Ridiculous. Edited June 16, 2006 by mrfootball
MidtownCoog
B/CS wants to be part of Greater Houston so bad they can teaste it.Remember the 249 Aggy Expressway proposal?
msfootball
The 290 plan sounds good to me
