Highrise Tower
Has anyone ever been to Ouisie's Table? I drive past this restaurant, and retail center, several times a week. I see it's American food. How does it compare to Grace's down the block on Kirby? I just looked at their menu. Impressive brunch drinks! I'd love a Perfect Peach Bellini made with Peach Schnapps, Texas Peach Sorbet, Prosecco. Let's do a Carafe for $32! I'm not sure of the name of the retail center. The center a long San Felipe also contains JANUS et Cie, Cotton Club Collection, and Leicht Houston. Photo of the street signage I took today.
mkultra25
It's been a favored spot among local foodies since the Houston food scene was in its infancy. The founder died last year after having been in poor health for some time, but she had previously sold the business to her GM/business partner. Specwriter
I've always enjoyed Ouisie's Table. It's different from Grace's but IMO on par with that restaurant. I think you might like State of Grace at 3258 Westheimer (aross from Lamar High).
Naviguessor
My Aunt used to refer to Ouisie's Table as "River Oaks Chef's day off." Back then, it was that sort of crowd.
Highrise Tower
Noticed one of the buildings is now sitting vacant and a Lewis Property Company's For Lease sign has been posted. This would be 3951 San Felipe Street. * I think it's the same retail center.
AS_
Which one threw in the towel— cotton club or the high-end fixtures?
Specwriter
It looks like that particular structure was formerly Relish Fine Foods. IIRC it was at one time a florists shop but I'm not certain of that.
