hindesky
So I got to talk with the "Construction Concepts Construction" site supervisor. He said the open roof section will be boxed in with a raised covered roof. His company is doing the interior construction on the Noto club and someone else is building the new building on the corner of McKinney and Sampson. I asked him why his company left the job at the Mandola's Pronto Cucinino restaurant project on Montrose, he said the owners decided not to go forward with the project. https://buildithouston.com

hindesky
The mini excavator hit a gas line, the whole area is blocked off with multiple fire trucks blocking all the roads. You could smell it and hear it leaking, the firemen confirmed it to me. I think they were waiting for it to stop and/or for Centerpoint to come shut the line down. talltexan83
Just a general Houston observation: those adjacent townhomes really capture the essence of development in Houston. Next to a bike path, railroad tracks, and soon to be destination-worthy nightclub. All less than a 5 minute drive from a major downtown. Who knows what this area will look like in 10 years, but it will continue to change. I'm an optimist, so I'm excited to see what's possible.

I mean, living in the area for over 15 years now (and visiting my grandmother's house since I was a child) I know exactly why it was overlooked for so long.

Do you have any insight about other possible tenants for Union East? I thought by now, Ancorian would have an updated leasing brochure or at least issued a press release with the latest news about this development.
