There is a wonderful show of Walter De Maria work's in the Menil. He is responsible for the Lightning field in Arizona. There's also a beautiful paper show at the Drawing Institute of Robert Motherwell drawings and collage. This is an outstanding show, and if you like works on paper you shouldn't miss. While I'm plugging art, the MFAH also has three very good shows of interest. There's the Philip Guston painting show in the Beck Building and an amazing Giacometti show in the Law Building. In the basement of the Beck building is the Gordon Parks -Stokely Carmichael show. Bonus don't miss the Kusama light experience in the Kinder first floor. If you haven't experienced it. Don't miss. Main (other side of Mandell) will last? Specifically talking about the eyesore two doors down from 93 ‘Til at 1609 W. Main (pictured below). I also just drove by the apartment complex across the street at 1612 W.
