Vertigo58
i think we're over run with IHOPs.That is another place that has gotten way too expensive. 10 years ago they were quite reaosnable. You could actually take the whole family. Now you have to wash dishes before you leave...kidding.
northbeaumont
That is another place that has gotten way too expensive. 10 years ago they were quite reaosnable. You could actually take the whole family. Now you have to wash dishes before you leave...kidding.Now that I think about, that sounds logical. A place like IHOP would be successful in a big city because it is a big family-oriented restaurant. Places like Waffle House are more popular along stretches of the open interstates where people who are traveling and are hungry can take an exit, stop and eat a quick bite, and get back on the road. I would think that most of the people who go to IHOP live in the city and they aren't traveling. Come to think of it, I recall seeing very few if any billboards out on rural sections of interstates which advertise an IHOP at an upcoming exit. digitalcowboymagic
Speaking of Dot Coffee Shop. Does anyone remember the one that was on the corner of Main St. and the Pierce Elevated? It was where that new METRO building is now. I know it was a Dots because my friends mother worked there until they closed.
