Jun by Kin or Jūn by KIN is more than likely opening at 420 W 20th St. The owners of the restaurant recently filed an entity for Jun by Kin, LLC. 420 W 20th St is the listed address.

The Leader confirmed Jūn by KIN leased the unit at 420 W 20th St, Suite A.

Snippets from yesterday's article:

"[Evelyn] Garcia and [Henry] Lu are aiming for a fall opening of Jūn in the former location of the Central City Co-op at 420 20th St. in the Heights..."

"Lu is handling the business end, Garcia says, and he says their hoped-for fall opening is in the hands of permit- and license-issuers and suppliers."

Jūn is the contemporary Southeast Asian restaurant from chefs Evelyn Garcia and Henry Lu. Garcia was a finalist on Bravo's Top Chef

The restaurant is located at 420 W 20th St, Suite A. Steel City Pops and Central City Co-op were previous tenants.

After several family and friends services last week, chefs Evelyn Garcia and Henry Lun's restaurant is open to the public.

Jūn is located at 420 E 20th St, Suite A.

Houston Chronicle reported on the opening last week. Details about the space designed by Gin Design Group:

"The boxy warehouse-like space, which used to be a location of the gluten-free popsicle shop Steel City Pops, is filled with natural light."

"It seats 65 people and has an industrial feel but is warm with a neutral color palette. There are three distinct areas between a dining room, bar and open kitchen."

More on Garcia and Lu selected the space in a recent CultureMap article:

"Garcia explains that one specific design feature sold her and Lu on the space.

'The location has always had the bones for a beautiful restaurant in my eyes so when it was brought to us as a potential location we were ecstatic,' she writes. 'We both have only worked in open kitchens in New York, so just the thought of us having a completely visible kitchen is what sold us.'"
