KimberlySayWhat
Anyone have a clue? There are at least two visible from Chase Tower. Just curious.

KimberlySayWhat
I love playing with Google's satellite feature, but it desperately needs to be updated. The Toyota Center and Downtown Aquarium are just empty lots.

You can actually see people (not all that clearly, but you can make them out), and see details on single homes. A good way to compare is to look at the edge of the higher resolution area (it is easy to tell where).
skwatra
the hybrid feature they added to google maps is really nice. and there's finally a scale on there. kimberly, all there satellite photos are 18 months to 2 years old, they bought out another company who already had the images, so who knows what direction google will go. they usually only do things right so i'm sure they'll be updates after they have all the other features in place (its still beta). i think its cool to see all the construction and empty lots in the images, makes you realize how far houston has come. but obviously it'll be nice when its up to date. i need to make sure to save some pictures of things that are not going to be there when they do update, like busch stadium. also, check out google moon and make sure you zoom in all the way. editor
Even though Google bills the images of the Earth as "satellite" photos, in almost all cases they are not. They are taken by low-flying planes. The clearer the image, the less likely it was taken by satellite.
