mfastx Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 HOUSTON – A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a light rail train in downtown Houston early Monday morning, a spokesman for METRO confirmed.The incident happened on Main Street at Walker Street shortly after 8 a.m.Police at the scene said the cyclist, a woman, ended up under the train. Part of her broken bicycle came to rest on a nearby sidewalk.It wasn’t known what caused the crash. Link Tragic accident. You really need to be aware around the tracks. kylejack Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 Nobody has confirmed the headphones. Riding down the rails was confirmed baseless. The most recent account has her deboarding the northbound train and crossing the crosswalk with bicycle just as the southbound train was coming. Could be the noise from the northbound pulling away distracted her from the oncoming southbound. Sad story, and there's a memorial of flowers and cards developing there.
