Washington Heights Developments

Am I doing something wrong?  I downloaded both flyers related to Washington Heights and neither mentions the NW corner of I-10/Yale.  Both seem to be for the developments south of I-10.  I see letter "L" to be "Washington Heights Site D"

Ha. They took it down. Swamplot caught it:

http://swamplot.com/more-retail-moving-north-on-yale-st/2013-02-27/

I guess they did not want the rabble to see what they were planning to do to their neighborhood. Only the landed aristocracy is privy to such things.

Really, Mark? The EPA?

The EPA in conjunction with the NRCS dictate what can/cant be built in wetlands, floodways, etc...

I had the joy of navigating the NRCS/EPA while building Ducks Unlimited ponds in what the NRCS considers farmed wetlands...its a process, and I was able to navigate it by not building any permanent structures.

However, after IKE - the county lost a bridge that is on my property - they could not get the NRCS to give them permission to sink new piers for the bridge to replace the broken ones so the county ended up having to replace the bridge with a span bridge.  It was significantly more expensive than the wood one it replaced.  On a side note, I have a nice brand new 102' bridge and steel bulkhead that is 26' wide and solid concrete and steel....The county told me it cost $1,200,000 to build and it is built entirely on my property....the county has only an access easement that lets them maintain the flood districts ditch banks.  Its probably crossed 200x a year....you want to find government waste?  Lets start here.

Below is news about the latest tenant coming to Washington Heights. This was posted in an unrelated topic, but should be in this one since the thread is about the Washington Heights retail center.

Washington Heights is a collection of shops located off of the Katy Freeway on Yale St and Heights Blvd. It consists of units located at 107 Yale, 167-175 Yale, 145 Heights Blvd, and 181 Heights Blvd. Despite Walmart's proximity, the big box retailer is not part of the Washington Heights shopping center.

As noted in the post below, fast casual chicken restaurant Big Chicken is leasing space at Washington Heights. It will be located at 107 Yale St, Suite 100.
