editor
The big, incomplete, interactive map of what's going up in Houston has been updated to include the JPMorgan Chase employee daycare center at Main and Bell. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=206730043409095570269.0004a96360f502ee46915&msa=0&ll=29.753867,-95.36695&spn=0.00367,0.0039
woolie
Construction to begin later this month.http://www.bisnow.com/real-estate-hou/2012/04/11/cranes-rise-across-houston/ It also bought Block 317 (Main, Bell, Clay, and Fannin) to build a 10k SF day care facility and parking for JPMorgan Chase (one of the aforementioned tenants). Mike says it’ll launch construction this month when permits come through, and the building will feature an innovative high-efficiency mechanical systemhe’s excited about. mfastx
I'll try to get some before pics on my way home from work today. Haha, don't worry, I'm sure we all know what the classic parking lot in downtown looks like!

rsb320
They were painting orange marks on this block this morning. This evening, it's got posts up and they are putting up fencing.

ClutchCity
I wonder if Skanska will develop this lot 5-10 years down the road and put the daycare in a street level retail space. A single story structure downtown doesn't really seem permanent.
KinkaidAlum
Wow, that looks terrible.

cspwal
It also looks like they might be putting fencing up - there was someone putting large poles in the ground yesterday
infinite_jim
Yeah saw today there's a bum fence to keep them out the landscaping on the southern side of the bldg. Must have had an incident. Which weird how across the street is a first floor apartment where they obviously have a child living there with a red scooty toy on balcony, surprised that has not gotten stolen yet.
cspwal
It's chained to the railing with a bike lock...and there's a sign that says "we don't call 911" and a picture of a revolver
