  1. It's an optimal project for Hines. It is being built to enhance leasing opportunities for Pennzoil. The more convenient the parking, the fuller the building; the fuller the building, the higher the rents. A full Pennzoil can't be that bad for the CBD. [Oh yeah, and what MidtownCoog said]
  2. It is being dismantled-piece by piece. Soon it will be gone-thank god. Who wants pictures?
  3. This garage is being built to enhance leasing opportunities for Pennzoil. Nothing more; nothing less.
  4. Here's my secret source for good, fresh produce: Spec's in Midtown. I know it sounds weird but they have the freshest vegetables we've found-and usual comparable-if not a little cheaper than Randalls and Kroger. I've asked the guys there where they buy their produce but they play dumb...I would too!
  5. WTF indeed... The Park apartments on W. Gray: office, retail and restaurant 1st floor 2016 Main: Restaurant 1st floor Houston House: office and retail on 1st floor. Don't know of any residential with porn on the 1st floor
  6. "SoDo" Get real... And it's across the street from the old Humble Building on Main-not Foley's-and next to Sakowitz on Dallas. [soDo....... ]
  7. So? Where did you find the renderings? website address is...?
  8. GREAT renderings! I went to the Pavilions website http://www.houstonpavilions.com/pavilions_content.html ...same old renderings. Where did you find these?
  9. What forum? Give us the link. nmainguy=tiered of all the BS in this thread.
  10. Do you know that for a fact? If so, fill us in on the inside scoop. We'll all be waiting for you sage knowledge.
  11. Wright could have designed it and it would still be out of scale at that site.
  12. Yes. Longer. Much longer. Dallas good. Houston BAD. semipro clueless.
  13. Sakowitz is supposed to be getting an American Apparel store on the ground floor. Houston Pavilions is going to be next door to Sakowitz on the 3 empty blocks bounded by Main, Dallas, Caroline and Polk.
  14. There are no existing strutures. Weiner's was a Houston based, cheap-ass, trailer trash clothing outlet that died a merciful death about 5-10 years [?] ago.
  15. Uh, yeah...but in polite society we don't mention La Lynn's pre-Oscar assignations... ...and doesn't look like she's 70?...well maybe when she WAS 70 she didn't look 70...
  16. Yeah, the JSC and Space Center Houston, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, Houston Symphony, Butterfly Museum, MFA, CAM, Menil...I HATE this city...all that culture crap...give me a duble wide n a peece of ass n i'll be happy. Give me Plastic...it's the new Britney...
  17. OPPS...meant to post this somewhere earlier: Glad you're back!
  18. Good point, Coog-and something I've been wondering: When and where has a Virgin outlet gone under? They seem to have some staying power-at least in the cities I've traveled to off and on. Seems like the Pavillion developers are going for top-tier retailers that they can count on having some staying power. Anyone?
  19. I seem to recall that Ali did buy that sprawling home on Willowick with the backside facing Buffalo Bayou. It was a big stone low-slung mansion with a guest house. I don't know if he ever lived there or not. If you're wondering about Jews in RO, the Sakowitz's had a home there and of course Lynn Sakowitz Wyatt and Bobby Sakowitz have lived there. Joan Weingarten Schnitzer Levy [oy vey!] lives on Knollwood. I think at some point $$ trumped religion.
