I found the HISD page, BUT it does not state all of the former addresses. Were there any elementary schools located in Downtown? The former Booker T. Washington HS (later Lockett JHS) was at 303 West Dallas - That is in Downtown. Also, what was the address of Sam Houston High School before it moved to Irvington Street in 1955?

Hey, it could - Call it the "Lucky House"

The school zoning is posted in the HAR entry; the entry does not state that Pin Oak Middle School is a "boundary option" to people in the Johnston MS zone.- 142 replies

I wonder how those UH grads feel when they think about the offensive song and see the student body of UH as of 2007.... -

When I was in swimming classes at Rogers MS, we wore our own swim trunks to the pool. Boys and girls swam together; girls had to wear one piece swim suits and boys had to wear swim trunks. We showered in our swimsuits, because the shower rinsed the suits AND the bodies. When changing from street clothes to swim trunks, kids wrapped towels around their bodies to maintain modesty (and this was in the locker room) - My generation seems to be more modest than the previous generation!- 85 replies

Taft near West Dallas? The area is divided between Lamar High School and Reagan High School. Either way, Lincoln High School no longer exists. What was its exact address? -

No, I'm meaning physical documents that may be kept in an archive somewhere. I doubt that such records exist on the internet. Also, it is easy to introduce specifics in internet searches with quotation marks and added phrases.- 85 replies

Besides, I like the idea of using Tokyo Narita as a transpacific gateway to the rest of Asia - A lot of people fly to Korea, Singapore, and China through Tokyo Narita. I agree that there needs to be more flights to Europe, Africa, and East Asia. If CO got the 777200LR Houston to Sydney would be possible. The following are routes that I would like for CO to start from Houston: South America * nonstop to Rio de Janeiro * Santiago de Chile Europe * Frankfurt * Madrid * Rome Africa * Lagos * Johannesburg East Asia * 1 additional flight to Tokyo Narita (CO can move two Guam flights to Tokyo International (Haneda) and allow for additional intercontinental service) * Seoul * Hong Kong (Once CO receives the 787 Houston-Hong Kong nonstop is doable) I would like to see CO resume transpacific Australia services if it gets the 777200LR, as Houston-Sydney is possible with that aircraft.

Overseas, I would not be surprised. The mother of one of my friends from the Dairy Ashford area said that many Walnut Bend area parents became alarmed when West Briar MS filled. Now the Dairy Ashford people and Uptown people will get to share a school. To show Paul Revere's changes, I found this SchoolDigger map: * http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/...496/school.aspx And here is West Briar: * http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/...271/school.aspx

Marty, maybe they plan for F. M. 1960 to go underground for the section where the runway would be built?

Pin Oak Middle School opened in 2002, so the stables vanished before construction began.

AA has a few more flights transatlantically and one additional Tokyo flight. That's it. Let me compare and contrast AA's international service from DFW and CO's service to IAH. International AA destinations of DFW that IAH does not have (in terms of its CO destinations) Canada: * Montr

Not to mention all of the Nigerian scammers who convince Westerners to send them money! And a few Westerners fly to West Africa and get robbed or extorted.

102IAH: It is true that CO's intentions of expanding transatlantically (and transpacifically) from Houston will be revealed once the 787s come. CO/COEx expanded services to Latin America (from Mexico to Argentina) and the Caribbean after the new terminal opened. The following new international routes to Houston opened in... 2007: * Mexico ** Loreto: http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?...&highlight= 2005: * Argentina ** Buenos Aires: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS * Colombia ** Cali: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS * Dominican Republic ** Punta Cana (No longer in service): http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS *Guatemala ** Tikal/Flores (No longer in service): http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS * Mexico ** Queretaro: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS 2004: * Honduras ** Roatan: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS * Jaimaica ** Montego Bay: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS * Mexico ** Durango: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS ** Huatulco: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS * Trinidad and Tobago ** Port of Spain: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/...t.aspx?i=PRNEWS Note: Quito and Guayaquil were split into separate routes in 2004. Chris, how should I submit a suggestion for the name of HS #5? I would prefer one of the following: * Klein Kohrville, after the community "Kohrville" * Klein Kohrmann or Klein Paul Kohrmann, after the German postmaster

Katie, almost all of the apartments zoned to Grady are now being rezoned to Pilgrim K8! Grady will no longer be an option for Pilgrim-zoned people (Pilgrim has the apartments that are/were also zoned to Grady).

Grady will no longer be an option for people in Pilgrim ES attendance zone. That means Briargrove/St. George Place/Tanglewood folks will have Grady to themselves! Guys, tell KatieDid right away and tell her to get a bottle of champagne!
