  1. Crape myrtles Sorry, my profession wouldn't let me NOT say anything about that...also you called me out on the Texaco building in the skyline thread. Deal with it.
  2. Not trying to bug you with too many questions but was it specifically for this potential new tower or was it for the renovation of the older Texaco buildings?
  3. I believe he is saying that he is going to need more information to believe your claim of Houston getting a new tower.
  4. Definitely not. I've met Lockmat, there's no way he could play that charade for that long. It's just not in him.
  5. I realized I could squeeze in the Chevron building too...but for whatever reason I can't edit my post. Am I the only one having this issue right now? Anyway, not trying to pump my post count up...but here's the updated shot. http://s7.photobucket.com/user/brijonmang/media/DtownSkyline2_zps50a513e2.jpg.html'>
  6. Well done Channel2...I was going to do something similar but it looks like you covered it for me. Here is a before and after shot using one of the photos cloud713 provided. http://s7.photobucket.com/user/brijonmang/media/Dtownbefore_zps176f9fba.jpg.html'> http://s7.photobucket.com/user/brijonmang/media/DtownSkyline2_zps30b547b0.jpg.html'> The perspectives don't exactly line up correctly and I had to try and compensate despite buildings being flipped around but hopefully this gives another idea to the possibility for the future.
  7. Thanks! I can work with those. I'll have something in the next day or so depending on workload.
  8. The Texas Leftist is a blog that is actually operated by one of the members of this forum. I think he is talking about the Hines after it was announced that it would be taller than 50 stories with the crown but I think Chevron and 609 Main will be just about even when you consider the base of the Chevron tower. This doesn't have anything to do with the rumors going around about the 102 story tower.
  9. Hanover's 29 story condo tower. @Golyadkin: is that the core starting to separate itself from the parking garage on the Hanover tower? Hard to tell on my computer but it looks like the core with a pump arm sticking up.
  10. Don't worry I was just giving you a hard time. I'm having trouble finding a quality up to date picture of downtown from the N/NE so if anyone has one out there I'd be happy to do another version if you can provide a good base picture.
  11. Well I think they had already shrunk this down much earlier in the year....closer to when 609 Main was first leaked. I would think that might have more to do with it than Hines adding a few floors.
  12. Thanks, I was thinking it might be worth doing something from the north where you could basically see all of these minus the Chevron building.
  13. If I use another picture and start over will you forgive me??
  14. Here is a very crude attempt at updating this with what we have for the International tower. http://s7.photobucket.com/user/brijonmang/media/DtownSkyline_zps33e272e2.jpg.html'>
  15. Haha well I guess the cat is out of the bag. Kinda glad too because I had forgotten exactly what this thing looked like in the first place.
  16. Do you not see that as a bad example? That stretch of road will be a tollway. It will pay for itself.
  17. It says it was part of Boulevard Place which would put it in Uptown. I think I remember some other renderings for this popping up in the BLVD Place thread at some point.
  18. It's definitely starting to move now and is outpacing the sovereign but I don't think anything in town will beat out the sky house's pace
  19. It's been a couple of weeks so I figured I'd add a new picture from the webcam: They are putting the forms in place for the 5th floor. You can see how they operate so fast now. When it is time to move up a floor, they simply pull the forms out from the floor below it and move it up one level. They pour 1/3 of a floor plate at a time, and then following day come back to pour the columns of the area where they just poured the floor.
  20. I really enjoyed the fly-bys in that video. The tower at the end was really interesting to me too. It would fit in with the current UP towers but doesn't look like a one-off. It would be a nice addition to the rapidly growing uptown skyline.
