No hookers yet. I will keep everyone posted on my moat building progress.

Traffic looks horrible around 2am. So do all the people trashing, parking and pissing in my yard. It is no fun to live anywhere close to washington anymore on the weekends.

You are going to want to look off North Milbend. That is where the original country club is located and many of the homes are on golf courses. My personal favorite part of the woodlands. More specifically look in Wilding Estates. 77380.

The place being remodeled on TC Jester by the RR tracks used to be a "game room". Whatever that might be.....

The hydra was the slide with the blue tubes that you went thru. It would get so hot in there during the summer it was hard to breathe. I LIVED at Splashtown every summer when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories!

I must agree on Poison Girl. Have only been in the early evening, precisely because my days of elbowing through a crowd to get a drink are long over.
I've gone to Big Top before shows at the Continental, and have always enjoyed it. Oh, while I'm here, a little promotion for friends: if you're a fan of white-boy ska with a great horn section, The Suspects (local band from the 90s that was really popular) are playing at the Continental Club on Nov 21st.
Is that the band that Bob Schneider played with?? Im still voting for Big Star. Cheap lone star and they play old country on wed nights.

They arent open until thursday. I got so excited when I read they were open I called up there to see if they were doing brunch. DAMNIT! Not open until thursday, and will only be open as a bar for the first couple weeks, then slowly get in to breakfast, coffee etc. I may just go this thursday to check the place out. Went to the biscuit instead.

Looking to buy. The description of the home in har mentioned the neighborhood being pet friendly.
I am having the same, "this is too good to be true" feeling. Im going to head over there this weekend and see if I can find any residents out and about.

Looks like stationary type stuff. High end. We ate at Ria's the other night and walked down there but they were closed.

And yall are just going to be right down the street after your happy hour....could swing by here with your TP. Perhaps I will wait until sunday!

I have always loved these townhomes. Now there is one available in my price range. Anyone know the scoop? I realize that they are right on the bayou and most likely flooded during Allison but what about Ike, or before? Also read on har that they are "pet friendly". What does that mean?

Yall are going to hate me but I put up my tree yesterday. I have saved outside for this weekend... I LOVE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS and I am not afraid to say it!

Where in the hell do they plan on parking all these people?

If I stay at home I sit and watch with my man, who made the mistake of voting for Mccain. No fun there.

I am trying to find a place to take in tuesday nights results with a few bevs and some like minded folks. I know the flying saucer is hosting a party but thought maybe you guys knew of something closer to the heights. Yes, I am aware that downtown is minutes from the heights, I just like to keep it local!

It was VERY badly damaged during the storm. The entire brick wall that faced the street there blew down. They have had a blue tarp on it since. Looks like it may have had some roof damage as well. I am sure everything got soaked. So sad since I am sure this is one of their big money making seasons. I always go there for christmas lights that I cant find anywhere else.

Anyone know what is going to happen with the place? So sad.

Just saw a sign up on the building that once housed Vivianns nightclub. I sure do love that purple building. Our local homeless man always talks about when Vivianns and the Black Cat were the places to be on a saturday night! Wonder what exciting new hipster bar is coming soon?

Id like to be added to the list as well! I am looking for a friend. She is looking in the Heights/Montrose area. Has a cat and is looking to spend about 700 -800.
Oh, and I will actually reply.
