My question is -- who is going to be stupid enough to buy the White Label townhouses right next door to Reign? They are like 15 feet away. Could you imagine?

I searched information for Tremont builders but came back with mostly info pertaining to Tremont Tower. I was hoping someone could shed some light on their reputation these days, or if anyone owns one of these townhomes already. They are located at 24th and Beall. One of the most unique floor plans I have ever seen in a townhome.

My best friends are seriously considering buying a town home off 24th street that is built by Tremont buiders. I was there today to give them a third opinion and asked the sales girl what their connection was with Tremont Tower, she said that they owned the land but had nothing to do with the construction. I was just wondeirng if anyone had any expeirence with them as far as builders go. Makes me kind of nervous. Thanks for your help all knowing haifers!

Talked to the folks at Kobain last night. They are the ones opening up TAPS. Apparently it hasnt fallen thru and is still a go.

There's some stuff on Swamplot about it, I think. Its got a neat driveway, too, made out of recycled glass of various colors.

Swamplot is about a different container house. And now that I really think about it, maybe it was someone at swamplot that asked me to post pics.

I second the fact that the Usual is a great little place to go. Wish that the outside area had speakers though. I suppose I shouldnt complain. "The Lot" next to pearl bar and Reign lounge both are coming along nicely, if you could call it that. I wish Benjys would get their act together and open for happy hour. GRUMBLE.

So i took some pictures on my walk today to share with you all. This house is located on Gibson in between Snover and Jackson Hill. It has been under construction for over a year now. I dont think you can really tell in the pictures (thats just my bb camera) but there are 2 trucks parked inside the garage area. I assume they have access from the back. It is either 2 or 3 stories, kind of hard to tell. This place really fascinates me, as it made mostly of containers. It has a great steel staircase in the front of the house. Dont know if it will end up enclosed or not. Take a peek for yourself. My neighborhood had lots of hidden gems like this. Not all townhomes, even though it sometimes seems that way. ENJOY!

I dont think the Dubliner has made its full transformation yet. The sign in the window still says Chaise Lounge. I tried going there tuesday night but they were closed. Im hoping it doesnt get douchey like Pearl.

The sign for "the lot" is up. They are directly next to pearl. Also saw we are getting a Zoes kitchen in the new prosperity bank building. Im pretty excited about that one. Chaise lounge is being turned into the Dubliner by the same folks who own the harp.

I am so thankful everyone is ok. Did anyone see this on the news? I cant find any coverage of it.

I have had the pleasure of meeting with the owners. They are great folks... local to the heights. EVen though they live in a townhome. I think the original plan was to do a good deal of catering which clearly never got off the ground. Im sad to see that the place failed. Good people.

at one point they actually were doing gondala (sp?) rides in the drainage canal. CLASSY!

I think it is going to be across from Molinas. They just started moving dirt around on that lot last week.

I got a letter in the mail the other day from TABC saying that someone was applying for a liquor liscence within 500 feet (or maybe yards I dont really recall) from my home. Sounds like the "lot" is going to be the place. Joy, more people in the streets.

Have you seen the guy who sings to himself and usually has his large stomach hanging out of shirt that is too small? He spreads his love all the way down to the Big Lots.

Sounds like the wheelie cooler will be making an appearance!

I have often wondered the same thing about that condo across from the CVS. The downstairs is boarded up. So strange. It has been that way for a long time. I live across the street from a condo complex on Snover that was foreclosed on right before completion, which was back in December of LAST year. For a while there wasn't a fence around the place and it became a five star homeless shelter. Running water and everything. It has taken up until 2 weeks ago for the bank to do any maintence of the property. It is now on the market for 1 mil and some change and there are people looking at it everyday. I just hope someone buys it bc I am tired of looking at the mess!
