  1. I second Lazybrook and Timbergrove - both nice neighborhoods. Maybe Shepherd Forest? You can find 3 bed/2 bath there.
  2. Yep, they have the same design flaws at the other 2 Bronx Bars - tight spots and less than 500 ft of space. 20 people inside = crowded and can't move. Edit - Oops, I thought you were talking about Bronx...sorry =)
  3. I can TOTALLY vouch for that being TRUE. I had my 25th b-day party there and my invite list included all races. I literally had to embarrass the heck out of the door douche to let my black friends in. I basically called him a racist in front of the crowd, got the manager out there and called him a racist, and then he let them in (all 2 of them). I really didn't want to stay there after all that, but it was already 1:00 a.m. and I was too drunk to round up my gang and move.
  4. I have been wondering about the mannequins too! They have graced the windows for about a month now. Whoever has moved into Casa's needs to take down the catering signage
  5. The tunnel under Commerce Tower reeks of funk every single day...I can't walk through there without holding my breath. That new food court is right in the middle of the funk cloud
  6. St. Rose of Lima MDO program is great...not in the Heights but close by in Garden Oaks.
  7. I signed up for the half Friday morning. By lunch time on Friday, the Houston Marathon website reported that over 13,000 had already registered!
  8. Those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for marks on the walls. Don't ask me how scuff marks get on my walls, but they do, and this "magic" eraser really does work.
  9. Yes - just read this past topic for more info: http://www.houstonar...?showtopic=2489 I would keep in mind these are opinions...you can actually just google this place and find all kinds of info..factual and opinion
  10. Don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not, but Sawyer Park was open yesterday for the Home Run Derby.
  11. Market Square Grill for sure - yummy hot ham and cheese....yummmmmm. Also Treebeards on Travis for lunch
  12. That's what I'm talking about - relaxing on the couches upstairs with a nice mojito - yum!
  13. That is so strange! Were you able to peek inside the windows or anything?
  14. I found HAIF when I googled Raven Tower to find out any info on it (and still haven't really ) - it's the big weird looking watch tower structure on 45N near N. Main.
  15. Wow - I'm kinda shocked about Brother's. I mean I like Brother's and all, grew up on it, but I thought only north siders knew about it I like Barry's on Richmond, but my ultimate fav is Star
  16. The '04 plan would be oh so awesome...until a hurricane comes along. Darn 'canes!
  17. The owners totally revamped the Social and it's awesome inside, but it's dead dead dead. I mean, I still like to go there, esp on Friday nights to hear the DJ play 80s-90s hip-hop, but the crowd is always slim.
  18. Yep, I agree...drove down Bissonnet yesterday to the museum district and it was a mighty bumpy ride
  19. Knew it was coming, but the confirmation makes me sad. Get your last exterior pics everyone.
  20. IMO, this is also a great mod, but not so great location: http://search.har.com/engine/dispSearch.cf...30%20Rowan%20Ln
  21. Oh my gosh, Flipper - what a beautiful job! Love the floors in the second bathroom!
  22. Anyone have new news to share? The last I heard was about a bulldozer parked on the property ready to go.
  23. IMO, Greenspoint and Sharpstown were once both nice malls in nice areas, but declined. To me, I think the "feel" of Greenspoint is more similar to Northwest Mall than Sharpstown.
  24. Oh my gosh - what an awesome photo!! All of the wood on the outside of the escalators was unfortunately pained white in the 90s.
