    we went last nite. pricey stuff in the store. some of the items were easily 3x more than HEB. i had a burger as well. it was ok but i think they gave me a child's portion of meat.

    as long as someone promotes bad burgers at little bigs and then is on houston press promoting the food at feast then we understand why they don't show up at happy hour.

    13's supposed to have an update on today's city council comments. edit: city council denied the original permit but did approve a permit for a smaller builing. developer said it would be harder to develop.

    that's why they supposedly added the entrance in the back but it's just not utilized.

    that's why they want to make money on the "new" hermann park train because metro's doesn't because of the inconvenience. good friend works there and 94% or so enters from the other gate.

    it still surprises me people eat tortillas that aren't toasted. permit or not, it's just a lack of common sense.

    the properties are connected via the issued permits per COH and TABC due to the balcony (the alley is also owned by the la carafe owner so all involved properties are contiguous). it appears another entity is involved which shall remain nameless at this point. watch access television in the near future. i may have to stir it up

    seems the tabc approved her project but the city denied it so the beer garden is on hold.

    da $12 margaritas are overpriced and weak.

    I felt kind of bad for them tonight. There was no one there and were basically begging people to come in. Food was free and nothing special. Drinks were pricey.

    they've been doing test dinners since last week for the downtown crowd. it will be interesting to see what happens since downtown is already saturated with them. lucky strike has been giving out tons of cards for free games. supposedly like vic and anthony's. with mccormick and schmick's mediocre service downtown, maybe they'll get some of their biz.
