    Mozambique is gone now...it closed a month or so after opening... also worth noting, The Potbelly Sandwich place on the south side of the skate rink still has not reopened and the Yong Kang next door now seems to be closed too!

    this weekend a buddy and i went to see Moonfall in the 4DX theater (it was fun btw)... but upon arrival half of the lobby was closed and covered up..i asked what was going on and the manager said they are doing a TOTAL renovation of the inside...EVERYTHING from the lobby to the concession stands to the theaters and the seats! He said it will take all year but when done he laughed and said say goodbye to the horrible hollywood star murals and hello to something that will look like the Death Star with neon haha! that sounds awesome to me! (HUGE Star Wars fan 🖤) and he added that the seats and the theaters will blow my mind....so yep i am excited! (I have been going to this and the other Regal cinema on Weslayan nonstop since july 2020 with my Regal Unlimited card and nope, no covid so far knock on wood!...and with less crowded theaters it has been awesome not dealing with the rare but bothersome disrespectful movie goers that sometimes go...) anyway...wow MarqE as a whole is really making a comeback in a big way in 2022 it seems!

    omg forgot that it was a Two Pesos! loved it then! The funny part is i don't ever remember what it was in the 80's but dang that was the BEST years of Montrose although the 90s were fun too!

    Yes 100 percent it did!!!!     Maine-ly was so overpriced and hideous inside (and out) that my mind is blown with how amazing this place looks on the inside now! wowsa! will definitely check it out and thanks for the heads up @hindesky

    yes been going here for the past week or so...and it IS indeed AMAZING!!! My buddy who would go to their bellaire location took me here the first time and we got these incredible "short bread like" butter milk cookies with cranberries and they are perfect with coffee or alone...dang they are good...also picked up some egg tarts as well as some croissants... but have been back 3 more times for those darn cranberry cookies! i am officially addicted

    the land is cleared! i can't wait to see what they do with this space....i am hoping they keep developing and improving westheimer from chimney rock to the beltway...i don't even know why i feel that way, i just do! haha

    any word on them doing work or improvements on the picnic loop/park? the tables/benches especially need improvements/replacements etc i forget and can't find mention of it. thanks!

    not sure if another ice cream place is needed with one about about 2 blocks away each way....but hey if it's good and a cool place then maybe 🤔🍦

    they still go to montrose just more so upper montrose where taxi taxi, brasil, agora and all the other alt shops even the shop next to Milk + Sugar ice cream called TRSTD which is a shoe and clothing store...I guess Cactus off Shepherd is still considered Montrose... then there is Vinyl Edge music store on 19th in the heights that brings lots of cool factor and people to that part of houston as well. Always loved 19th street btw.
