I am not saying you are lame. I saying it (county building) is lame. I had to go there too when we got married to pick up our license. I had picked up my plates a few weeks prior.

Picking up your license at Harris County is pretty lame. While you are there you can pick up your personalized license plates on the first floor and pay your taxes.
I don't really remember how much our wedding cost but it was one hell of a party.
The father in law seemed pretty happy to pay.

Yes, we all yearn to be married by a county clerk.
Selma and Patty! Baby!

I love the evenings this time of year when there is a nice breeze. But the mornings are terrible.
Somebody should go ask someone who works outside about how dry it has been lately.
All the Interdweebs with soft hands would be shocked.

There was another german beer garden similar to the "Bavarian Gardens" that operated in Dickinson for years. It was called the "Hofbrau House". We drank warm pitcher beer there several times in 1973. That was the year that the drinking age was lowered to 18 and all of sudden we were all old enough to drink. The beer was cheap but good. They usually made us "kids" sit outside, even when the weather was cold, but the beer warmed you up pretty quickly. The place closed sometime in the late 70's I think. A WalMart, (now Sussan's Furniture) occupies most of the site today.
We used to drive from Park Place to go here. I was 3 or 4 years old at the time. It was quite the family affair with all my German relatives.

Low as compared to the average Houston summers?
Humidity has always been low in the Summer contrary to popular opinion.
-
I don't think it's a dis to say Sherry was not a good fit for Houston.
39 blows Ch 2 away. And their coverage of UH sports is second only to Fox 26.

It's humid as all get out at 7:00AM. Are you people serious?

I do have to admire Michelle Obama. That witch tell it like it T-I-IS. I heard it and it was was very clear what she said, especilly by the ladies' reactions. Bug on my computer speakers it does sounds like emp.
"The View" ladies dive in to rescue Michelle Obama after she calls ... Chicago Sun-Times

Obama's wife in 'pathetic' gaffe
Appearing on The View, a leading US morning talk show, Michelle Obama was asked by Barbara Walters whether she wanted her husband to be president. ...

No different than the Dems who supported Hillary who say they won't vote for Obama.
Both parties have whiners.

Obama was quoted yesterday that more drilling would only add to Exxon's profits.
And he's still for his "Get Even with Oil" tax. Angry man.
This issue alone could kill any chance he had a being the next Prez.

Has anyone traveled the US enough to compare and see the same difference?
St. Louis, land of baked ravioli and organge roughy, will make you REALLY appreciate Houston.
-
Isn't amazing that "common sense" is now seen as a sacrifice?
I think 85% of the US has been living in La La land.

For me a Park and Ride round-trip bus ride costs the same as buying the gas.

I think there is a future for Sherry Williams in Midland.
Her country twang and Ron Stone ripoff closing drove me crazy.

They even said the County Courthouses were staying open late in order to grant the first licenses.
Since when does the County "stay open late"? Politics pure and simple.

Hah! He didn't spend that money on sidewalks! If he had, we wouldn't have had to spend $80 million or so on Cotswald.
Lanier did get Houston to sidewalk many hoods that were annexd in the late 70s.
This was focused on hoods with schools where kids had to walk in the street.

I'm no right-winger, but those old hags kinda freak me out...
The worse part was seeing Gloria 'the undertaker' Steinem howling at the moon in joy. What a camera hog.
And old Mayor 'grusome' Newsom thinks this is his meal ticket to greater things. Talk about an agenda. Print It.
So far these sure don't look like any kind of weddings I've ever seen. They are more like a scripted media event/spectacle orchestrated by the courts.

Lone Star - The Offical Beer of HAIF.

The only thing that keeps them open is the captive audience and business travelers.
Every time I go there I see Rich Kinder. Lord know he does not have to worry about his next paycheck.

That building was the HISD Food Warehouse (or something to that affect) up until just a few weeks ago.
I thought they were just off for the summer but I guess not.

Don Patron is on our boycott list. We used to go there all the time for lunch but finally got tired of $15.95 nachos.

Mr. X only takes them in so they don't get the police beating that they so truly deserve.

This sign is out in the open for sure. Unlike those words of hate flying in some "Chruches" we have heard about.

I saw George in 1992/3 at the Arena Theatre.
That was a great venue!
