Texas speaks.
World Court and Bush should take notice.
-
You obviously forget the Eckeles vs. White battle during the Rita evacuation disaster and the Katrina victim recruitment drive.
My sources say it's not a nice relationship today either.
Ignore the real world all you want. It's all political.

My mother in law's MDX's tranmission blew up. Acura took care of her but what a drag that was on a two year old car.

That thing gives me the bird flu.
Olympics and China ring false and hollow to me. The true test of China's modernization will be seen when the games are over.
-
Don't play silly Red. You and I both know that Emmett now offically has domain over White.
It's his county, not White's. And guess who spoke first...
They both sounded like fools. Emmett has "Pods" and White had "boats".
Lord help us all when the big one hits.

I think it's pretty bold for Harris Co. to only close the courts. Ed Emmett better hope he's right with this call.
But it's the same thing downtown with the big boys.
I'm going to go ahead and telecommute it in, but it does seem odd how blase the masses are.
And nary a peep from Mayor Bill White. I guess old Ed told him who's boss.
This thing we call the loop?
Have you ALREADY started drinking?

Why so little "new" news on this storm?
Is it becuase "they" know it's going to poop out but are too paranoid to say so?
-
I'll be at work. 1100 Louisana is open for business unless something really bad happens over night.
And I understand Harris County just sent out an email basically saying "no work no pay".
-
You mean The Gap is closing!?!

Wardrobe changes?
Have y'all seen Madge's new face?
Now THAT is a wardrobe change.

ridiculously out of scale
And that, my friend, is Houston in a nutshell.
So much so that we need an entire forum section called: ridiculously out of scale
-
Time for some wienerschnitzel:
-
I predict Houston will make a run to relocate all the debt collection firms from DFW.

Compaq would give us parties at SRO. It sure was dumpy and that was 1999.
I think I'm about read for some football.

Banking and Telecom ain't what it used to be...
-
Gas Fields have Headquarters? OK then...
Too bad it's ran by East Coast Yankees (Chesapeake Energy ((the ugly Bush daughter's Hubby works there as an MBA turd)).
Sellouts...

Looks like Pirate's Beach to me.
Great pics.

I'll share this with my Dad. Class of 66.

That's my opinion of him as well. I remember seeing him all the time at Kim Son in the Moody Towers.
He looks likey your typical fat cat State of Texas employee.
UH at HP would have been a perfect fit. Maybe they should have tried the UHCL route. It would have been a nice with the the community college down the street (for transfers).
-
There are still a lot of businesses out at Greenspoint. Exxon Chemicals has a lot of people there.
Granted, the mall is lame. But that's the trend with malls today. They are all lame.
-
State Rep. Garnett Coleman (lives near UH) is PVAMU's #1 supporter.
The old Third Ward Ain't for sell Guard including Shelia Jackson Lee (husband works for UH) needs to be changed. They fully support expanding PV's mediocrity
.
But business, students and alums are starting to get behind UH. The tide is chaning.
-
So how many HP folks are left on the campus?

Rick Perry's man-love for UTD and TI.
Simply Smashing use of the development fund! That was a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
But then again you have to bribe TI not to get GITI with (give it to India).
The SOB may finally get executed today
