  1. Don't feed the trolls! They eventually go back to SSC.
  2. Wow! Another fine contributer added to the HAIF family.
  3. Did you read it? Just asking... Anyway, "Two BriarLake Plaza, the final phase of the complex, will be constructed on a 1.5-acre site at the corner of W. Sam Houston Parkway and Briar Forest Drive in the heart of the Westchase Management District.."
  4. No question it's better than the previous building, but it does look bland considering Johnson's towers next door. I'm still remaining cautiously optimistic that it will look better once completed.
  5. Agreed... Was at a clients office in Uptown yesterday and just think it's bland in comparison to Post Pak central. Hopefully things will change with the eventual addition of the other two towers. At this point I don't care for it.
  6. Of course there is, however I don't find my comment unkind when dealing with a person who is almost nothing but negative. It's one thing to have a negative day or week, but to barade the forum with posts like this are beyond rediculous. I'm not asking him to jump in a lake, I'm asking him to "go away" until he's got something of value or some sort of positive or constructive thing to say. I think many share my sentiments seeing all of the "likes" I got from the comment. Wasn't going for "likes", but it does say something.
  7. That's not the site for this building. Your at Dairy Ashford and 10 with this pic. Energy tower III is at Kirkwood and 10.
  8. They started excavation two weeks ago. Also, I normally don't have any inside info, but I'm kinda close to the Haiks and this thing IS a done deal. Mr Haik also has plans for "Energy Tower IV." It'll be very close to III, but a certain piece of land he owns that's being used for another business is taking up space... Should be starting around the beginning of next year.
  9. Why must you always be such a troll. Imo, your embarrasing to the forum. I'll give you this much though.. As much as you've beeen bashed here it doesn't seem to faze you. Sorry for feeding him folks.
  10. Amazing how much I-10 (Energy Corridor/Memorial City) is blowing up... They just erected the crane for the new 17 story building at Eldridge, and i know that Mak Haik has started digging on his new office building (believe it's 17 stories/not sure though) at Kirkwood as well. This area has virtually been transformed over the last five years, and there's more coming.

Wow! That Glenbrook home is great for under $200,000. If it weren't so far away from my wifes teaching job, I'd probably jump on it.
  12. The neighborhood option is really quite charming to me. I enjoy the short drive over, it's relatively peaceful and has some great trees, homes and yards.
  13. Not awe inspiring or anything, but again, not bad at street level. I'm in the area daily and it's really coming along. The mall, restaurants, etc are packed virtually all day. Not to mention that it's pretty much connected to Town and Country which only solidifies this area of town as a big player. While one could argue that it's homogenous, he or she couldn't argue the huge success that's come of the area.
  14. LOL! If that's not the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is.
  15. Looks pretty similar to the Cemex building which is really not a bad looking design at street level.
  16. LOL! I can't remember one valid comment you've ever made, let alone being right. Edit: laughing so hard I misspelled a word.
  17. Wow! What a drama queen. Katy is an awful third world place thats infested with disease and souless people. What have we created?
  18. LOL!!! Great comeback... The ignorance I'm speaking of is a goofy desire for Houston's burbs to be something they are not. Also, as a professional musician for almost 30 years I have traveled to every major city in this country and I find it laughable that you and others here act as if Houston's burbs are pitiful in comparison to other cities (save East coast/Chicago) and they are not. I'm sure your young and single and I understand the burbs are far more boring to you, but maybe, just maybe as you get older, have a family, and have to worry about your finances a lot more, you may reconsider your point. Don't misunderstand, I would like a better design, but in the end these businesses are in this to make money, not please your misguided interests for a place you don't live.
  19. Your a clown... One thing I'll give you though, you've got thick skin. As ridiculed as you are on this forum you just keep coming back with dummer and dummer statements and it doesnt seem to phase you. For the rest of you young and ignorant folks... You obviously hate anything outside of the loop (or close to it), so why must you always speak negative. These are the far outer suburbs my beloved brain children, and Houston is no different than any other sunbelt city in this regard. I know you want super dense 60 story buildings, and walkable retail for miles, but that's not going to happen here. Maybe you could channel your energies to something more important like playing hop scotch.
