  1. Yes, I realize that. The crane was NOT going up the day the initial post was made. That section of the crane was sitting in the lot for two weeks. I work right across the street and have full view of the lot all day.
  2. Yep... Personally, I think this is really bad placement on this campus. Had a lot of potential.
  3. Actually the crane is not going up. They haven't even laid pilings yet. There's one section of crane that what was brought over from next door. not sure why.
  4. They are not "practically" on the freeway, they "are" on the freeway.
  5. This is almost next door to the new Conoco campus. Nice in fill. Believe it's right behind the Infinity dealership.
  6. Really? Funny that virtually the entire business world disagrees with you. Companies pay top dollar just to get there names on parking garages.
  7. Thanks. Couldn't remember the name... I will say that these are built on the cheap big time. Been watching them go up daily.
  8. They are at the dead end of wilcrest and I-10, and bordering Yorktown. They went up quickly, but work has basically stopped over the last two weeks. Not sure why.
  9. Unfortunately, removing his sig wouldn't really solve anything since he continues to post.
  10. I do a lot of work with NOV (National Oilwell Varco), and they are gigantic. They have been steadily acquiring other companies over the last two years and must have at least 20 different buildings and sites in Houston. I would think they would total somewhere around 2 million square feet of office space alone. If they decide to consolidate in one location it would be big.
  11. Well then maybe you should change your signature.
  12. Nope.. Trust me on that one. Having said that there is a distinct possibility that Mr Haik will build on the Mak Haik Auto direct lot directly across the freeway.

Mod, you may want to move this thread.
  14. I'm a little confused as to which block it is too. Am hoping that it doesn't include teardown of the Gingerman and Kelvin Arms.
  15. I can't understand why some here have a problem with many of us wanting something other than glass and stucco boxes. Almost as if were being accused of being spoiled children. Houston is my city of choice, and I love it. having said that I want the best for my city, and when a building comes down the pike that will forever change it's skyline, I for one am hoping for something that shines.
  16. Great post. Wasn't aware of the "unitized curtain wall".
  17. Sure hope this isn't the final product. While it's great to have another tall tower, this building is pretty bland. It's in such a high profile area and has the opportunity to really shine if done with a little pizazz. Surely Chevron is aware of this and in the end will wow us.
