  1. west creek = river oaks shopping district which, according to the latest renderings, has actually upsized.
  2. possibly related to the sage plaza 33-story twin towers that was mentioned on here last week (or the week before)?
  3. Good for them... it will be a nice addition to downtown. now if brookfield can find someone for 5AC then we'd be talking.
  4. agree with you on 6HC. but you dont see how a sleek 50-story tower right at the "front" of downtown will alter our skyline? this thing will be front row ((((slightly)))) offcenter.... it will battle heritage plaza for prominence when viewing from the west, which is obviously the most recognized skyline view of our city. imo, of course.
  5. 6 houston would be nice, but 5 allen would completely alter our skyline.... it is a beautiful building. here's hoping that's what it is.
  6. my not-so-educated guess would be that this ghost-tower is the proposed fingers condo planned in conjunction with the new whole foods off of waugh (perhaps?).
  7. good news... this is actually one of my favorite projects in the city, right behind regent square. imo, the village area is already the most pedestrian friendly area in houston, and this project will only add to that. let's hope they can get their lending finalized sowe can see this thing come to fruition.
  8. really would like to have seen them add a retail component to this... i cant see any reason why they wouldn't.
  9. well since you seem to be a resident of midtown, i hereby nominate you. hurry back with a juicy report!
  10. http://swamplot.com/boutique-hotels-coming...07-11/#comments & http://houston.bizjournals.com/houston/sto.../14/story2.html anybody with an HBJ subscription care to give us the run down? Lambert (of tha San Jose Hotel in Austin) was also quoted as being in the conceptual stage on another boutique hotel next to the Continental Club in midtown, right off the red line (part of the adjacent property that the CC purchased awhile back).... boutique hotels on washington and on the red line in midtown would be very big deals, imo.
  11. all i know is that there are a lot of folks in the know who dont think this building is going up... crescent remains adamant that it is, though. i hope it does... it's a nice building.
  12. the video is very well done... this is gonna be a very nice building.
  13. http://www.hfflp.com/WebtoolsSite/News/Doc...e%201-21-08.pdf this would be the southwest corner of sage and westheimer... that would definitely make a lot of sense and would really help transform that intersection (and make traffic totally awesome). the plot thickens.
  14. for the amount they threw down for that chunk of land i will be very surprised if it ends up that short... besides, everyone figured that the ritz - which was originally announced in the 60-story range - would end up closer to 35-40. instead, it's coming in (supposedly) at a lofty 53-stories.
  15. amen. i just find it hard to believe that this was the best the developer could come up with on 3 prime blocks of downtown space.
  16. first i've heard about this... perhaps it's the recently demolished property on mccue? not sure where else it could be.
  17. we even had leaked renderings a couple months ago for the hines building, yet we still have people bringing up the kobi karp fantasy building.... not quite sure why people refuse to let go.
