I would gladly sign that pledge.

Just seems a little hypocritical to me to demand residents fix their leaks within 72 hours. Especially when your looking out your window at a water main pouring into the street for days on end.
-
" Yet there are city mains leaking everywhere.

Disclosing a death on a residential property
Fringe replied to pachanga's topic in Houston Real Estate
Interesting. I remember the incident. I did not realize he was never caught. It wouldn't bother me to live in the townhouse. The original house yes, but it's been gone for almost 40 years so I don't know what's the big deal. -
They are supposed to only operate on streets served by Metro, which of course is just about every main street and freeway in Houston. Sadly Metro cops are on par with Constables. Very minimal training and most are unable to get on with real departments like HPD or the County Sheriffs department. There's also a lot of part time Metro cops or used to be because I knew several firefighters that used Metro as their second job.

Awesome video. Kingston Trio? -
Is that a metal door? I don't know but it seems to go well with the windows the way it is. If you painted the door I would also paint the window frames.

As far as inside the loop, I've been to Piola's a couple of times and it's pretty darn good. The Quattro Formaggi pie is awesome. (Gorgonzola cheese, brie cheese and grana padano cheese) -
I agree with kylejack. At least ask to see the place. Perhaps they just don't trust you to return their deposit. There are many crappy landlords (I've had a few) that won't give your deposit back despite the place being in great shape.

Nice. Brings back a lot of memories.

Amen to that although I should point out Republicans have done their share of wasting our hard earned tax money also.

Raising taxes is not the answer to a government out of control on spending.

Likewise some people have worked very hard to get to an upper level while some choose not to work at all. Is it fair they should have to support someone with little or no ambition?

It's unfortunate that all the inner city folks in high crime areas moved out to Alief to escape the blight in the 80's but ended up bringing the crime with them. Like Sharpstown it was a really nice place to live at one time.

It will go up after I win the lottery.

I don't believe there was any such thing as "casual attire" back in those days. I'm presently reading a book about the old Colt 45's. It's got some great photos in it including one of the crowd on opening day in old Colt Stadium. Every man in the stadium is wearing a tie, despite what was a very hot day and no shade.

Hopefully the sign wasn't found in the space shuttle.

Who said anything about a net?

Takes to much land but maybe they could just put some grass on top of One Park Place and let people swing away.

We obviously get used to our weather. First time visitors coming in from IAH I'm sure are not impressed. Our freeways are horribly ugly.

Well at least they acknowledged we have great burgers. Travel & Leisure Magazine
