If Sugar Land had gone with my nomination for their new baseball team the "Roaches" instead of the "Skeeters" then they could have placed Bubba out in centerfield as their showpiece.
-
Funny thing about "studies". They always seem to favor the group that hires them. I wonder why that is?

Given the events that unfolded this past year, who knows? He may be quarterbacking us in the Superbowl next year.

I tell you, what we need is a Real Housewives of Harris, Montgomery and Ft. Bend Counties show on Bravo. See what it did for New Jersey?
We've been on COPS. What more could you ask for?

According to my book "Colt 45's, A Six Gun Salute", the Colts never played at Buff Stadium. Their first game in April 62 was at the quickly built Colt Stadium, which was of course only a temporary stadium until the Dome could be completed.

They tore the old water treatment plant back in 2009, right now it's a grass lawn.
Did not know that. Spending to much time in South Austin and haven't traveled down 1st Street in a while.

Depressing.
I would love to score one of those Oiler signs.

Not sure if what you want exists with a 45 minute or less commute.

Haven't been there yet. Is the drink dispenser one of the ones with a touchscreen? Firehouse Subs has those.
Never been to Firehouse Subs but probably the same. It offers any number of combinations.

I think this weekend I will make some poster signs and go have a Pro-Ashby celebration on the sidewalk. I'll bring a video camera to get the license plates of people who yell obscene things at me.
I think I will do the same thing when the Heights Walmart opens.

Visited JerryBuilt today for lunch. It was good but I wouldn't say it was anything great. I think Smash Burger is better. It's worth the trip though just to use the high tech drink dispenser and hand washer. First time I've seen anything like them.
-
So I guess they will tear down the old water treatment plant? I will kind of miss it but I understand it's progress. Amazing the amount of construction that has been going on in and around downtown Austin over the last decade.

. Anyway, its about time they wise up and add dedicated right turn lanes at intersections. Katy doesn't have enough of those.
I second that. Those are needed all over. I hate people that get in the right lane and don't turn when there are other lanes available for going straight but most Houston drivers drive like they are the only car on the road.
Also, before they allow cars turning into business along 99 I would like to see them expand the frontage road to at least 3 lanes.

Quite a few amusing Amazon reviews like that. One of my favorites is the customer images sent in for the motion activated sprinkler:

Denver got him. Glad the Titans didn't because if he is 100% then the Texans would be in trouble. Heck even less then 100% he's better then most quarterbacks.

Oh and by the way that news report is very dated. Whole Foods has not used QAI for a long time.
-
I know this doesn't have anything to do with this specific store but this story is about Whole Foods organics that come from China.
Whole Foods touts that it's food is organic and locally grown, yet many of their products in fact come from China. I figured some of yall would be interested in this news story.
Interesting, although it only seems to be the frozen vegetables that are from China and I rarely ever buy frozen. Their fresh vegetables are usually locally grown and you cannot trust anything that is supposedly regulated by the USDA. I'm not an organic nut anyway, I usually buy whatever is on sale at my local HEB. If it looks fresh, that's good enough for me.

I'd say he's going to the Titans. His wife is from there, he went to college there and Bud Adams is offering him the moon. Denver has a chance as well.
That's a likely scenario. If they get Manning and Chris Myers the Texans may be in trouble next year.
-
I do need to try the Jerry Built hamburger. Heard good things about it. Best one I've had lately was at the new Hay Merchant.
-
Agreed food safety is important but kind of stiff regulations for serving people that regularly eat from dumpsters and trash cans.
-
I agree Peyton was the Colts but I don't want to see the Texans in the same predicament where they spend all their money on one player. At least when Schaub went down we still had a real good team, just not a Superbowl contender.
-
I'm with RedScare on that one. All the Texans need to get to the Superbowl is a healthy starting quarterback. I would hate for them to trade away half the team to get Manning, which is what it would take.

What kind of society have we become if you can't ride a unicycle naked?
