KHOU did a segment about the pool and hotel - they said it will be open right after Christmas, but not for the general public until April http://www.khou.com/features/texas-shaped-lazy-river-pool-near-completion/341857672- 2,096 replies

I rode my bike through - some of the barriers were moved, but I don't think they were "officially" moved....they appeared to be just moved out of the way The meters weren't in place yet either.... -
I was in that line!! It was a couple hours of cheerleading for us volunteers - we heard how important we are to the whole 10 day Super Bowl experience, saw what our uniforms will look like, heard from various speakers, etc...it was all hosted by Deborah Duncan

Interfaith Ministries At 3217 Montrose Blvd.
HoustonMidtown replied to HoustonMidtown's topic in Historic Houston
This sure is bringing up an old thread -- I just ate at Snooze restaurant which is in the old Interfaith Ministries building - really good breakfast !! http://swamplot.com/snooze-ready-to-distribute-hair-of-the-dog-from-former-interfaith-ministries-building-on-montrose-blvd/2016-07-18/ (Some old rumors came true and some didn't !!) -
I had neighbors rent their home for the last Super Bowl - they made a ton of money but also had issues with their house being damaged and their insurance didn't cover it so they spent the money they got for fixing the damage. There have been some news stories on TV lately about people renting, but they caution to check with your insurance company to make sure you are covered for any issues that could arise.
