If they got rid of that stone facade at the bottom this would be the perfect building. Reminds me of the orange townhome on Fairview and Waugh

Such a shame those houses can't be incorporated into the design. Soon Montrose will be a maze of cookie cutter strip centers

Proposed Residential Development At 400 Jensen Dr.
MrFubbles replied to Urbannizer's topic in Going Up!
Looks like it's planned to be the BBQ Shed (3) maybe they'll incorporate a lighthouse into the design? The Maritime museum will be across the bayou, and a boat landing on the south bank directly west of the lot -
Is there a master plan for this yet? Or are they developing as they collect tenants

If we need empirical evidence for improved traffic flow with a reduction in speed limits, I have a few cities skylines worlds to prove this

Raised crosswalks might be new speed bumps for Montrose
MrFubbles replied to trymahjong's topic in Traffic and Transportation
Should I start a GoFundMe? No clue how this works. How much does a raised crosswalk cost? -
I see it, but they can do better. Keep pandering!

MrFubbles replied to trymahjong's topic in Traffic and Transportation
Can we just crowdfund them? I'm sure half the neighborhood would pitch in Or what if we let the businesses on Westheimer sponsor each crosswalk? Let them design it? -

The Madison: Condominiums At 419-515 West Gray St.
MrFubbles replied to IntheKnowHouston's topic in Going Up!
They should hollow out the ground floors of each house, connect them all with covered patios or extend the structure, and then turn all the backyards into parking. Then keep the second floors as residential. Maybe even turn the front yards into outdoor seating- 25 replies

We either let him build his hotel or watch Montrose turn into a retirement community Side note, I think it would be un-Houstonian of us to enforce niche zoning on this

WestMont: Mixed-Use Development Coming To Montrose
MrFubbles replied to groovehouse's topic in Going Up!
I hope they go weirder than weird - they should have the Menil and Orange Show consulting on this project. Something like the Federal Reserve on Allen parkway but in skyscraper form- 697 replies
