Real Estate BIS Now reports that the final two retail spaces are spoken for at 24 Waterway Avenue. The two spots are to be a bar and a restaurant. One remaining spot is next door to Hubbell and Hudson on Lake Robbins near the parking garage entrance and the other is the last section of Sirenuse not occupied by (the not yet opened) Yucatan Taco Stand. article (I wonder if he is referring to The Exchange and Yucatan Taco Stand.....not the last two spaces available.) The Woodlands Township has agreed to spend several hundred thousand dollars upgrading The Woodlands first community park, Sawmill Park. No doubt this is due to the luxury apartments being built on the WAC (Woodlands Athletic Center) site nearby. article A rumor is out that Trader Joe's is coming to The Woods; however, culturemap reports that they are considering the endangered historic Alabama Theater in the loop as well.

trader joe's is considering a woodlands location. i'm not sure if it's one or the other. culturemap seems to think it is a choice between the two locations (alabama theater or the woodlands). i'd rather see the alabama theater space saved (if that's the intention) rather than have a trader joe's here in the woods. (my grocery needs are small.)

so......if necessary, even with wasted space, the entire world could fit in less than one quarter of one hemisphere.................and people are concerned about over-population why? interesting to see these examples.

i like kim son too...and hope the woodlands embraces it. kim son is a houston institution. the story of the family that founded kim son is what houston is all about. given the location, my first thought was negative.....certainly not representative of my hopes.

kim son is coming to the corner of lake robbins and six pines. the building housed four failed restaurants so far....maybe kim son can make it work. border's is out at market street? any guesses on who might replace them? crate and barrel maybe?

as a long time fan of the woodlands, and resident for over ten years, my opinion is that you guys would enjoy midtown more. the variety of places to be, proximity to cultural events, diversity..........being downtown has so much more to offer...........the woodlands might become boring in a few months..........unless you're ready to nest, raise kids... maybe it's just me (the grass is always greener...). welcome back! keep us posted on your search, findings, etc.

actually, i was thinking it's about time we had a container store, but yes, it is also about time the circuit city location had some activity. REI would do well in the woodlands too.........i wonder if anyone is trying to lure them here? .....the demographics appear to be on point per REI's website.
