  1. The stadium has to be finished first with a team playing in it before they get a Super Bowl. LA has stumbled trying to do this for so long.... that's why we have the Texans.
  2. New scoreboards are needed anyway but i don't think they would go all out if they didn't know they would be the front runner in landing a Super Bowl. They're competing with Miami and the old Sunlife Stadium.
  3. Looks like Houston is serious about this Super Bowl bid. The approval today will give Reliant Stadium the largest video boards on the planet, surpassing the one's in Arlington. The Toyota Center and Reliant Stadium with the largest video boards? AMAZING!!!!
  4. Hopefully this development will attract some prestige reatil and restaurants. Would love to see Emeril's or a restaurant owned by Bobbby Flay. Just Saying.
  5. I'm most interested in this project because of its potential. Wish somene would build a stucture that has a huge HD tv screen to show the news and etc. on it like in Times Square. Wouldn't that look impressive driving down poat oak from the Galleria?
  6. I agree, but who cares what goes on in Dallas? This city is too large to worry or compare to a much smaller city. We as Houstonians should focus our attention to cities like LA Chicao, and Philly. This topic should be more relevant in a San Antonio forum.
  7. bb??? Just spell out the name so we will know exactly what you are talking about.Brooks Brothers, right? By the way, does anyone know if Torrie Wilson ( WWE) still has a clothing store open at Town Center?
  8. They now have gumbo Fridays. You should also try their hotsausage poboy.
  9. stopped by the other day after work because i didn't feel like cooking and had their cajun stuffed meatloaf. It was sooooo good i bought a plate to go for lunch the next day.
  10. I dont post very often but I stumbled upon this new soulfood restaurant in houston. It's called Lukes Place. They had the best gumbo i ever tasted and i ordered a hot sausage poboy as well. I think you all should check it out. The owner said she had been open only a couple of months but its worth a try. I believe they are located on the corner of fondren and braeswood. The parking is limited but it didn't matter to me. On the menu the address is 9600 fondren rd. houston , TX 77096 #713-988-6200.
  11. I passed by the other day and i saw a New Balance store about to open and Fastari. By, the way i'm back. Miss me?
  12. what will this development look like?
  13. This sunday's edition of the Chronicle says that CBL is going forward with the project despite not having the financial support of the city of Pearland. so, this project with the macy's and Dillards anchors will go on as scheduled. By the way, the article also mentioned a project located in Clear Lake called the Spectrum(1,000 acres). any information on this project?
  14. Why ask why? What have you done directly to contribute? Just give Oprah props for what she did and is doing and stop the freakin complaining.
  15. There is a rumor circulating around that Tracy Mcgrady wants out of Houston. The rumor also states that there is a possibility that Steve Francis could make his return back to Houston in that trade. Some how the trade would involve Lamar Odom being traded to Orlando for Francis. Francis then goes to the Lakers, then the lakers make a trade to Houston. I don't know where T-Mac will ultimately end up, but this is still just a rumor right now. Hopefully we'll find out something today or in the days to come. I hope it isn't true, though. This would be terrible.
  16. how can i get there by taking the ferry from galveston?
  17. i hear Miami offered each owner their own yacht (the minimum 100feet long) as an added incentive. No city can compete with that.
