    I noticed construction continuing at the front of the shopping center while I was passing by. When will this be completely finished and what retailers have yet to open?

    This area is coming along really well. I wonder how the failed equal rights ordinance will affect the vision of this development

    The photos, everyone has submitted, are truly superb. I, fortunately,was able to drive around downtown and look at the different projects today, but pics do these buildings no justice... you have to see them up close. AMAZING!

    City Center was similar as well when it first opened. Once more stores and restaurants open, this will be a new tourist attraction for Houston.

    I'm sure the Galleria negotiated a sweet offer so they wouldn't go to ROD. The competition between these two places will be interesting to watch going forward. Has The Galleria ever had this much of a threat?

    It matters to me because I meet alot of people who do business here and live elsewhere. Im always suggesting places for them to see and experience. One of those places is Herman Park because of its beauty and its close proximity to the museums, TMC, etc... Because of the Buffalo Bayou renovations, this will be and added destination to those suggestions. By the way, wasn't there supposed to be an amphitheater built as well?

    Once the renovation of Buffalo Bayou is complete, do you all think this will be the premier park in Houston or will Herman Park keep that title?

    I just hired a young lady from LA and she was complimenting Houston on its greenery and how cleaner it is than LA. She even mentioned how our downtown was a lot nicer aswell. This shows the progress Of projects like these that change the perception of outsiders who visit our wonderful city. Btw, she finally found our downtown after mistaking it for uptown or TMC. It was quite entertaining.

    This thread is for discussions about the stadium construction. Where did we get off topic? However, I love the new turf and cant wait to see the first game. I thought I read the stadium was expandable. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    The traffic will be breathtaking, however I still believe these developments will transform this stretch of Westheimer into our Rodeo drive. The Galleria knows it. Theyve really never had any competition. Now they do.HAIFERS, keep a close eye on these projects. Game Changing!
