  1. They might not be legal to just put on the main lines. The metro LRV are standard gauge, but aren't up to DOT standards to be be on the mainline tracks
  2. The canopy area looks like it used to be for unloading trains - it does look interesting It's the only structure left on the lot Some signs of life
  3. Completed building looking good 2 years on. Looks like they're putting in bike islands across from the B-cycle, probably related to the Cullen bike lane project
  4. Not significant enough for going up, but a large 4 story steel building is going up across from MacGregor park. And by steel, I mean steel - I haven't seen any concrete in it at all
  5. City still doesn't do great on bike detours ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. Some sort of concrete path across from the apartment building. Anyone have an elevated shot opportunity tomorrow?
  7. Park as of August 22, 2020 - all traces of Goodyear are gone
  8. Finished pouring concrete for the Columbia Tap/Polk intersection They're starting framing in of the floating bus stops Bike
  9. Starting on the bike lane intersection with the columbia tap trail (with Leeland)
  10. This is probably the route I would take - I have a high preference for bike lanes, LC ones
  11. Also saw UPS truck do it. The soccer field people aren't parking there though - it seems to just be delivery people "standing" in the in lane
  12. There's not much room to do that, and a 6 lane road encourages high speeds that would be uncomfortable to bike nearby - that's why you have a buffer space
  13. Maybe the city could set up a temporary protected bike lane on the studemont bridge?
  14. More armadillos in and cross-walks painted
  15. They probably have a lot of spare capacity, since it was originally built for trains and now the heaviest thing that goes over it is an electric cargo bike
  16. Looks like on Google Maps detouring to Heights BLVD (on-street bike lane) is a 3/4 mile detour
  17. At least the Polk bike lane will be a good connection for East downtown between the bar strip on one end, the houses in the middle, and the Kroger at the other end Maybe the 45 stuff is why the bike lanes between St. Emanuael and Emancipation are so crappy? And I agree on Rusk > Polk for crossing the freeway - the pavement under the bridge on Polk is awful
  18. Between Shepherd and Detering, there looks like there might be enough room, but after that not really, if you want to have any sort of buffer. It looks like right now on that section, it's 3 11 ft lanes each side; if you made it 3 10 foot lanes, it would keep the traffic volume, and get 3 feet for a bike lane. That's pretty small for a bike lane - it wouldn't be protected, just painted lanes
  19. I don't know traffic volumes on memorial - would a protected bike line be feasible, or is there way too much traffic to cut out a lane each way?
  20. Oh I rode it before everyone was riding bikes everywhere - I bet it's clogged up with bikes now
