  1. Why would the new concert pavilion be built if not for something like FPSF? They could alternate set times between the two stages on it and do away with some of the congestion created by the stages on the Allen Parkway. Close off half of Sabine St so the people living at the lofts could get in and out. Continue to move east toward Sam Houston Park and Bagby St. like they did last year and for the NYE concert they did in 2013.
  2. They make cowboy hat shaped hard hats, many refinery/chem plants don't allow them, including where I work. The photo is too grainy to see if the guy was wearing that though.
  3. I live 1.5 miles from Tinsley Park and have gone to all 7 FPSF. I ride my bicycle to the event at Tinsley as it's the easiest to access and exit the event. I was about to sell my tickets this year with the move but decided to help support our local hometown promoters and all they have done for the local music scene. I was expecting the worst and was surprised how well it turned out. I took the light rail both days and it was packed to the gills with other fest goers. But I hope they move back to the Tinsley park next year. They will have access to the new concert pavilion over the cistern next year and it should help but they need to stop using Allen Parkway for some of the smaller stages as it makes the already narrow road too congested.
  4. I thought it looked a little taller when I was driving home today.
  5. Second tower is going up, they were adding the counter weights.
  6. This is a Linden Comansa flat top tower crane, they can have up to 230' of jib w/ a capacity of 5200 lbs on the tip. http://www.lindencomansaamerica.com/cms-wfc/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/16LC260-26460lbDS.1308.07.IA_.pdf
  7. If they had the money it would be open, obviously they don't.
  8. Lost Lake is underwater but the restaurant and the water fall feature was fine. Dog park was covered with about 20' of water
  9. 13 ?th floor is working it's way east. and the garage is climbing.
  10. From the southwest corner, looks like the garage portion might be topped out and now the living area will begin.
  11. Couldn't find the topic on the Sunset Coffee building but it is part of the Buffalo Bayou project I believe.
