  1. So I came across a couple of guys taking down the drive-in theatre screen, so this might mean something, either winter has caused people to not go to drive-ins anymore, the Moonstruck in Midway's East River project has overtaken the market or this project is about to start up. Hoping for the latter.
  2. I guess all the NFL teams playing the Texans stay at the Marriott Marquis. The Flaming Thumbtacks from Tennessee have an 18 wheeler in the loading dock.
  3. Several guys using grinders to tear down the metal store front. I guess they may be metal repossessors.
  4. The street north of this project is closed off, I hope it's for complete replacement as they have torn this street up so badly that it's a complete mud hole, kind of surprised the houses along the street haven't raised holy hell about it. If it was in any other neighborhood the contractor would be in jail for tearing up the roads as badly as they have.
  5. So this is my room assignments for the visiting vets and families, vets/families born pre 1980's stay on the left, stodgy/codger side and vets/families born post 1980's stay on the hip/cool side. Room's inside also reflect this according to my thinking.
  6. Ok, so this is S. MacGregor lanes eastbound at Ardmore bridge. The way I see it the far left lane is for those who want to u-turn on to the west bound lanes of N.MacGregor. The middle and outside lanes are supposed to be for those continuing eastbound on S. MacGregor. The northbound lanes of Ardmore St. can drive over the bridge and the left lane can turn westbound on N.McGregor and the right lane can turn right on N. MacGregor. The thing I see being a big problem is the lanes heading westbound on the east side of the Ardmore bridge on S. MacGregor will cause many head-on collisions unless they have some kind of solid barrier to stop people from driving westbound on S. MacGregor. I'm confused by all the possibilities idiot/drunk drivers could possibly make while trying to negotiate this intersection, seems like setting people up to fail, especially if they don't drive here often.
  7. The sawtooth pattern on the bricks only extends to the first floor, it's kinda freaky looking and messes with your eyes while looking at it.
  8. Some progress since my last visit. Land clearing, heavy equipment, shoring boxes and catch basins.
  9. They have cut out the walls for windows at the old Fiesta. Adding new siding to the entrance. Running conduit for the parking garage build. Porch floor is going in.
  10. They have closed the street on the north side of this. It also has a roll-off trash dumpster and a construction trailer office on the outside.
