  1. The rendering they have on site shows exactly how the parking garage is going to look and the builder followed that. Windows installation on Westheimer. Hand railings.
  2. I saw someone post something about this recently which made check it out on my ride Sunday. Here is what I found. West side southbound before the Aquarium. Eastside which is where the bike lanes are. Rendering.
  3. Yeah, but why aren't they doing anything while they have full access to build them? The southbound one does go over the train tracks but the northbound one doesn't. Maybe that wasn't part of their bid? Balfour Beatty is the contractor.
  4. No one there on Sunday so I ventured down to check the progress. Sheets of shoring piles.
  5. This is not correct, the fencing up so far is only near the train tracks, no fencing over IH 10. Which doesn't make any sense to me. How is anyone going to hurt the train? But someone could get killed if someone threw something off over the highway. Train fencing. No fencing over IH 10. The are 2 of these, one on the southbound side and another on the northbound. Seems to be doing zero work being done to finish them. Hopefully they place some kind of hard barrier near them or someone is going to be the newest Evil Kneivel on the northbound side.
  6. No it doesn't, they have long concrete beams straddling the road on both ends but there is enough room for my bike to squeeze through the south end. The north side ones cover the whole road and one would have carry one's bike over them.
  7. Saw a guard near by but he didn't say anything or maybe he did and I couldn't hear since I had my earbuds in listening to music 🎶
  8. Train is still there but is now high enough to get those wheels I saw under it.
  9. On some projects I've seen, they move the field office into the parking garage. Marquette did this in the Forth build on Navigation and so did the Kirby Collection.
  10. Sunday is the only day I can ride on the unopened Elysian Pkwy, saw 3 other riders who got on it from the Northside. I'm currently the King of bridge according to my Strava app because I've ridden it 5 times.
  11. Most of the fencing surrounding the project has been removed so I can get closer look at that sawtooth brick pattern. I talked with a student and he said they moved 2 weeks ago.
  12. Surprise find of the day, a tower crane base at the Sonic Porsche dealership. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise since they used a tower crane to help build the Audi dealership across the highway. Looks like a built in place parking garage instead of a precast. That timeline seems like it might be hard to keep though.
  13. reddit u/princesprofile posted this pic. Looks to be 621 Fannin parking garage to me.
  14. Now would be a great time to build it but hotels are among the hardest hit industries during the pandemic, so I kind of doubt that. Hope to be proved wrong though.
  15. Yeah, the guys I talked said it was at the Zoo.
  16. Anchor Commercial Builders is the contractor. Looked up their website but there isn't much on it.
