  1. LOTS of progress has been made! This one good enough for ya?
  2. I don't know if you've seen this before, but it definitely shows the lack of density. http://persquaremile.com/2011/01/18/if-the-worlds-population-lived-in-one-city/
  3. That's what I'm confused by too. 24 units is kind of pushing it on that lot, and i guess they would be including off-street parking. But it says that it will retain the single family restriction, which doesn't make sense to me.
  4. Where is the MF designation coming from? The PDF states that the lot will still be restricted to single family.
  5. Looks like Traffic Lounge is close to opening. Yet another rail-side spot in Midtown!
  6. It's the same way where they started removing the facade on the back side where the colorful paint splatters are. Can't they just add bracing to some interior columns and remove the exterior bracing?
  7. It's been a mini lake the last couple times I've driven by. It might be a few more days until they can get back in there.
  8. I couldn't snap a picture, but they've got the glass wrapped all the way around to the back side by the parking garage.
  9. Nice! I wasn't expecting this so soon. We need to a construction cam set up on Larry's balcony for all of these projects.
  10. It looks like they finally started ground work for the townhouses that will replace the homeless shelter on Austin (between McIlhenny and Hadley) that was torn down last year. I'm happy that the former drug den is being replaced, but it looks like my view of skyline will be gone in a few short months. Le sigh.
  11. Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but they've got about half of the wall taken out behind the shroud.
  12. Just let the dogs go two blocks down Preston and crap in Baker Common. Call it Barker Common. Boom. Easy fix.
  13. Hmmmm... Looks like they still need to tint the ones that broke. Nice progress though.
  14. Wow, it's awesome that development is finally pushing toward the Expreso and Greyhound stations. I wonder how much time is remaining on the Shell station's lease. And I imagine they might have some issues getting those gas storage tanks removed.
  15. My guess in the block across from 2016 Main, although I would love to see those empty storefronts torn down.
  16. Renderings finally posted in another topic. Very exciting. http://s.lnimg.com/attachments/A55B766C-A6A3-49E0-8EF2-BCB5680D4D1E.pdf
  17. Nice! Definitely a hot corner right now. This rendering quite a bit more involved than the one that I saw. Are they still looking at a 9 month delivery? This also shows the Camden Apts at the Superblock opening 2016.
  18. I don't see the park being cancelled as half of the land is owned by the MRA, and the land swap was contingent on building a park. If he is planning to build a parking lot, this is a major conflict of interest with his position on the Super Bowl Bid Committee. I just called the MRA office to see if they could provide details, but they were already in the board room at that point. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  19. Anyone know what's up with the lot at Caroline & McGowen? It's been completely cleared of the overgrown brush and trees, and the gate is locked for the first time that I can remember.. Further investigation reveals that an LLC was formed last year under 2515 Caroline, Ltd. I hope they get something going before the Caroline street renovation begins! This might be a good place for a mixed use with a quick casual restaurant or coffee shop anchor, but I'm hoping for anything other than townhouses. ^Is this too much to ask for?
  20. Ask, and you shall receive: (from their facebook page)
  21. Nice! Thanks Urbannizer. This shows the contact as John Stephen Ford, Jr. http://www.houstontx.gov/housing/workshop20120210/response20120316.pdf And it looks like Steve has been quite busy developing. http://www.bizapedia.com/addresses/1500-NORTH-POST-OAK-ROAD-SUITE-190-HOUSTON-TX-77055.html Anybody have the finesse to scrounge up some renderings?
