  1. I love how we still have a nice city grid from downtown thru Midtown
  2. I'm still trying to wrap my head around why this building was every covered up. A little TLC and this thing is going to be beautiful!
  3. Plus I've been seeing the national media give our city a fair shake finally! They are seeing how great of a city Houston is.
  4. I hope something similar happens to the Atlantic Coffee factory in the East End
  5. This is great news for Amtrak. I have always admired how the East Coast takes full advantage of their Amtrak station.
  6. The Heights is blowing up with good quality development. Beautiful to witness.
  7. I'm excited about this development. I can't believe how fast this area is changing.
  8. I've reported the same issue 3 times now. It seems like some of the people in the MMD are clueless as to what their own neighborhood looks like. I had to explain in great detail the sidewalk I was referring to and they were still confused about what I was talking about. Idk what's so hard about noticing a muddy path or maybe it's that they don't see an issue with it.
  9. PUBLIC TRANSIT. People want options. When you go to the grocery store, is there only one brand of cereal on the shelf? It's all cereal but people have preferences. Cars will get you somewhere but what about those that don't want to have to drive every single day. You force them on the road when if you gave them options you free up that space on the highway. If even just 5% of people decided to take mass transit, the highways would be waaay less congested.
  10. I like 2016 Main. If we had more buildings its size around it, I think it would "seem" nicer.
  11. Good job keeping up with the times. That kind of stuff has been going on for a while now all over the globe. If you want to protest, do it outside this forum.
  12. Nice idea! I love what they did with that development. Maybe instead of beer it can be all about coffee or a coffee museum? Lol idk
  13. What do yall think could become of the site? I'd hate to see a developer rip this thing apart. If the Ford structure could be converted somehow that would be awesome!
  14. Umm duh it's called investing. You think NY just came to be? Fade away how? The neighborhood was dead for almost 30 years. That wasn't enough for you? If this is such a downer for you then why the hell are you in a forum dedicated to seeing Houston grow? I never call people names but you sir are a moron
  15. Me either. Let's just pray that a developer doesn't rip this entire thing apart.
  16. Welp this sucks https://www.chron.com/business/bizfeed/article/Former-Maxwell-House-plant-to-close-12848286.php?ipid=happening
  17. And that's also why a city has parks. They're intended to supply all residents with an area for full uninterrupted recreation. Idk how this would kill downtown at all. If anything developers would build all along it. This would make Main St Houston's premiere avenue.
  18. Those other bars are going to have to step up their game.
