The buildings in the vicinity of this property are already a hodgepodge of different types of buildings. There are already multifamily properties on this street and a block over on West Alabama. Its not in the center of the neighborhood, its on the outskirts. Damn near on the feeder road of 610. I just don't see this development being a big issue for the neighborhood.

The issue is that we do not know what the future plans are for the parking lots. We do not know if it is the developers intention to reserve the parking lots for future towers. 

I have never heard of the NRP Group. I wonder if the these are going to be market rate or affordable housing.

Its a race at this point for this development and Regent Square. Both are going to be competing and going after the same tenants for the retail and residences. The first one finished has a better chance to get leased up first!

That was the impression I always had about the retail at this site. I attended St . Thomas from '06 to '10 and I never stepped foot in the place or felt the need to.

So is the new crane larger than the previous crane that was on site? I'm just curious as to why it was removed. Will the new crane be able to function for the pavilion portion of this development and the tower?

Every time this thread pops up, which happens a few times every week, I hope it is an announcement that UT has decided to move forward with the research campus . . .The disappointment.

Great rendering, however, it was done by Munoz + Albin not Gensler so i'm sure the design will be a lot different. In my opinion Munoz + Albin designs are more "edgy" than Gensler. Cant wait to see the actual master plan designed by the architect Gensler. 

That side of Uptown needs some love! 

It seems like this thing is taking forever to get built!

Yes I know HEB and Whole Foods build urban designed stores, that's why I mentioned them on the previous page. I was not aware of Kroger building any urban designed stores. I now see thanks to cluthcity94 that they have an urban designed store planned in Dallas. So it is a possibility that Kroger could build an urban designed store in place of the current store on Montrose.
