This will not be moving forward. Hopefully it comes back sometime in the future but as of right now it is dead.
Do you know why?

I was at a breakfast last week where Crane was the keynote. He briefly mentioned their plans and stated a hotel, a lot of entertainment/retail, and possibly high-rise apartments were a part of the plan.
I'm excited about the fact he owns several other lots all around the ball park for future phases. This will be a very active part of downtown in the next couple years. Hopefully they release the official plans soon.
What other lots does he own?

Was there anything previously proposed for this location?

Great shot! I love all the greenery and the Texas Medical Center skyline in the distance.

FWIW Skanska has been trying to develop the corner if Hardy and I-45 by Exxon for 7+ years now.... Its planned as a 3 building 850,000SF development that has sat there as a forest waiting for a tenant. Skanska will only move as fast as the market dictates. They might not need stellar pre-leasing but they are also not going to sit here and ignore the crazy cost escalation factors the industry is facing coupled with softening demand and a potential for economic collapse.
I understand what you are saying. However, I would not compare a a 850,000SF speculative office building complex in Spring to a mixed-use development in the heart of Montrose at the intersection of Westheimer and Montrose Blvd.

I really like the way this mixed-use development is coming together. It just keeps on getting better and better. It's great when a development turns out better than what was initially proposed versus what we usually see.

I think there is already an apartment complex at that address.

rumor is they were going to use Woodlands Porsche, but I think that already have one up there, ironically, it's called Porsche North Houston?
Porsche North Houston is right above Greenspoint. About 15 miles South of The Woodlands.

Anyone banking with BBVA/PNC? I hear the merger is not going well for their customers
I banked with BBVA now PNC. What have you heard? The only issue I have is the long wait times when calling in for phone banking. However, that was an issue prior to the merger.

Why is this still in going up?

I wonder why Preston Partnership continues to use the Fitzroy as their main page and the Treviso on the "High Rise" section if they weren't built? Are they bad at picking and not vetting their developer partners or just unlucky? Maybe they use them to highlight what they can do with their designs.
It highlights their designs. It not their fault the developers couldn't bring the buildings to fruition. They still did their job!

Great! so this can be moved from Going UP . . .

In my opinion this is a good use of that space. More parking was actually needed and instead of just building a mundane parking garage they decided to incorporate some additional office space. I don't think the design is horrible, it could have been a great deal worse. Also, this is on a backroad out in the suburbs. . .

The current office location seems like a good opportunity for redevelopment.

Only in Houston would you ever see this. On the one hand I praise its cleverness, and uniqueness, but on the other hand this is probably the dumbest location to put a town home I've ever seen. Literally between two functioning railroads and industrial all around it.
The two buildings to the left of the townhome are apartments. So there is more than industrial around it.

I personally vote for the parking lot right next to that AT&T building. That looks like a good spot for something like this...and more than likely thats not where it will be placed.
That is where it is going.

Is there an issue with parking at this venue? I was riding around in this neighborhood a couple of months ago and I noticed that a lot of the residences had signs in their yards advising no parking.
