WesternGulf
Really? I just drew in a few slim boxes and tried to measure the height compared to the rest of the buildings accurately.
RedScare
Really? I just drew in a few slim boxes and tried to measure the height compared to the rest of the buildings accurately. Yeah, dude. A little more practice and you'll be as good as Dominax.

WesternGulf
I heard that the Gateway project may be up to three towers, so I guess we can picture two more towers in the pic.
KinkaidAlum
Gateway will have a 450,000 sq foot medical office tower and two hotels with long term condos available. Retail will also be available. It was implied in the release that it would be a multiple building project. If not, then it would be one really large tower! The website www.gatewaymedcenter.com is registered now so I'll keep checking to see what pops up (just a placeholder right now)Also, don't forget the MASSIVE 22 story Outpatient Care Center which will be just South of the new 430 foot Memorial Hermann Plaza. From renderings, the O.C. Center appears to be taller than the Smith Tower at Methodist (over 300 ft).
WesternGulf
Also, don't forget the MASSIVE 22 story Outpatient Care Center which will be just South of the new 430 foot Memorial Hermann Plaza. From renderings, the O.C. Center appears to be taller than the Smith Tower at Methodist (over 300 ft). I didn't. I just thought it would blend in with the rest of the TMC skyline silhouette. Unless it is suppose to be slightly shorter than St Lukes. I think I made the Memorial Hermann Plaza taller than it really is though, but then again Calpine looks shoter than St Lukes eventhough the TMC and downtown are pretty much aligned. Oh well, I guess my mild form of OCD is messing with me.

Montrose1100
Actually, they topped out a few weeks ago. That's as tall as it gets. Somehow I thought that it'd be taller than that, though. It looked taller in the renderings... I'm somewhat glad it isn't going to be as tall or over shadow the Spires or Parklane.
WesternGulf
Are you all sure about the Mosaic. I am not the person that really cares about height but it looks like they are starting on another floor. Right now it definitely looks stubby. TxDave
....................To the Houston Museum of Natural Science Going East on I-10 towards DT: Very much off topic, but can someone please tell me when the building to the left was constructed and the cross street where it is located? Jax
Where did you get the skyline shots? It looks like the roof of a parking garage in the museum district. Would you mind telling me where that was so I could take some skyline shots too?http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i222/iss...onMuseum052.jpg
Boris
Hey Jax,I took that photo from the top of the parking garage that's right across the street from the Museum's own parking garage. Don't remember the name of the building, but it's right next to the museum of natural science.I also took some photos from the top of the museum's parking garage, but the particular photo you posted is from the garage across the street from the museum.Hope that helps, and can't wait to see your photos.
ChannelTwoNews
Very much off topic, but can someone please tell me when the building to the left was constructed and the cross street where it is located? The white building? It's called Energy Tower I, and it's located at the intersection of Old Katy Road & N. Kirkwood. It was built around 2000 or 01.Awesome pix btw, kinda home sick now... haha Edited April 1, 2007 by ChannelTwoNews
