Perry's 2016 White House campaign: will he pull it off & win the whole thing ?

Recommended Posts

The Houston Chronicle reporting after months of preparation & speculation, former TX Governor Rick Perry [R] said Friday he'll announce next month whether he again will be seeking the White House in 2016.

The answer's almost certainly yes!

Perry, who stepped down on January 20th after 14 years in the TX Governor's Mansion & leading the nation's largest Republican state, for months has been laying the groundwork for a 2nd White House bid. On June 4th in Dallas, Perry's expected to make it official.

"America is facing a time of testing, & it's clear that we need principled leadership & an optimistic vision to see us through after 8 years of the Obama administration," said Perry's wife, Anita, in an email to supporters after revealing on Twitter that she & her husband had "been discussing the future of this great country & how our family can play a role."

The "major announcement" was scheduled for 11:30am to 1:00pm, in the state's 3rd-biggest city. No other details were available.

Reaction from y'all ladies & gentlemen on Perry's 2nd campaign for the White House?

He does realize that Obama isn't running again, doesn't he?  It's not like he might have forgotten about a third term...

Perry also took indirect shots at Rubio, Cruz & Paul by telling them to go home & run for Governor before running for President: OUCH!

He's obviously not the only person to feel that way with NJ Governor Chris Christie ® & WI Governor Scott Walker ® aggressively pushing the Executive experience cards very hard!

Another thing Walker, Christie and Perry have in common is they all may be under indictment by convention time. What fun!

I'm looking forward to the upcoming debate and campaign trail flubs.  Last time around was quite entertaining.

Yesterday, former TX Governor Rick Perry [R] announced his 2nd White House campaign for 2016 yesterday in the northern Dallas suburb surrounded by military veterans & supporters.

In the 3 years since his disastrous 2012 run, Perry has been doing lots of tutoring from countless top experts on foreign policy to economic issues plus he's got an apparent determination to be shaking every hand available in the key early-voting states such as IA, NH, SC, etc., However, he's still under indictment.

The repacked, refocused Perry came with a promise to give struggling & worrying Americans a second chance, by delivering in the way only a competitive person who has been knocked down himself can do.

"America is an extraordinary country. Our greatness lies not in our government, but in our people," Perry, 65, told a cheering, flag-waving crowd in a small airplane hangar in Addison. "Each day, Americans demonstrate tremendous courage. Many of those Americans have been knocked down. And they're looking for a second chance. "Let's give them that second chance. Let's give them a president who leads us in the direction of our highest dreams."

He's also going to be aggressively using his military service in the USAF in order for Americans to have a president, who's served in the military.

Frankly, he's an embarrassment to our whole state. He hasn't a chance in hell at ever becoming President.

He'll crash and burn like in 2012. Doesn't anyone on his staff have the cajones to level with this loser?

People who call themselves fiscal conservatives but donate to his campaign need to have their heads examined.

I have never take nor met anyone who would support him.  Anywhere.  All around the country he's an even bigger joke than Cruz.

When you look at the last two presidents, any politician will be crazy not to run for the office.   I mean Jeff Bush is running (officially or not), and Hillary too, so why not him?  He's a warmonger, he's loved by the neo-cons, so he has a promising chance.

Who cares if he's no good, he can raise money.  Plus you lie your way to a victory, like Harry Reid lied about Romney to help Obama win in the last election.  So long as you win, that's all that matters in the end, who cares how you do it.  You can even admit you lied and get away with it, so anything is possible.

Rick Perry has a bright future ahead of him, but not as President of the United States.  He'll be some Fox-News style hack within moments of throwing in the towel (assuming he doesn't serve any jail time).

He's doing this to raise his profile and redeem himself from 2012's FAILtastic run.

No need to assume that for a spot on Fox News.
