    haha i understand that...but yes they are keeping all the back trails like behind the running center etc and (for now) the picnic loop to keep that woodsy feel... i like having the best of both worlds nice manicured parks and amenities and then untamed woods/forests....so lets hope they keep some of that feel... on the outskirts anyway...

    i don't know if sterilized is the right term but i do want the parks as nice as possible...and i think we began to get that when Eastern Glades was created.... now with these new elements we are on our way to becoming one of the best city parks in the country! In fact i hope they go into the existing picnic loop and redo that to make it nicer. They could start with doing all new LEVELED cement pads for every picnic table set up...and hopefully get rid of all the broken down ones and maybe all new matching ones to help my slight ocd 🙃

    upon passing the pier last night i noticed that thing is super raised from the ground...which means the water level is either going to be high or this isn't a pier but just some kind of raised platform which would be odd... could it be that it is mostly water that makes up the south side of the land bridge? I am so confused haha!

    yes, amazing to see that from above!!! thank you @cityliving !!! those images are from awhile ago maybe (?) which if you look at the top image on the upper left of the green group of trees, that darker brown patch is where they have built the pier, so that must be the pond(?)... i am just speculating but dying to see this all finished...i know it is going to be incredible.

    yeah so that cool bridge section opened last week but as far as the pathway from the running center to the picnic loop opening i am not sure...it does look like all the sidewalk is now poured (edited to say except for a short 20 foot span to connect the new path to the existing path by picnic loop) but they may be waiting until they have more landscaping done etc for safety reasons since they are using machinery etc? There will be a water feature/man made lake or pond of sorts because from that current path/MTB trail. it takes you along and past a huge dock they have built that will go over it... i was looking for a detailed photo of that area and can't seem to find one showing a water feature...but i think it is going to be right above the circled Land Bride & Prairie Parking where that florescent shade of green and brown is that looks like a golf green area above the trees (it does not show all the finished work, the new work, the path or the new dock i speak of) anyway, yes i am excited about that opening as well and i bet October, November for this part to be done

    you know for the longest time i have been talking to the people over at Common Bond and told them they should take over the old Kona Grill location that way they could service the mall but also have a cool walk up there for those walking by or taking the bus etc... i thought it was a smart idea but they kept telling me they were looking at other uptown locations... anyway, i think the old Kona Grill is a perfect spot for something like CB or similar...hopefully that space gets filled soon as it's an eyesore seeing that space and the outdoor patio empty.

    I had posted this on the BLVD Project thread a couple of weeks ago but will post it here too! Hi all! I have been begging for a www.houstonbcycle.com location in Uptown for awhile now and of course just on or off Post Oak Blvd was the desired location...and lo and behold they have installed one now at 1500 Post Oak Blvd in front of the BHP/Woodside Tower building! Last night they had both regular bikes and e-bikes at the location. Just thought i would let everyone know!

    love the floor tile ALOT and the ceiling tin tiles as well...hate the super high chandeliers and cruddy faux (?) marble walls etc though....haha but hope it's good!

    HAHA... the funny part is when looking at the fireplace photo i was like dang they definitely have a spider problem...but then i realized that is marble and not cobwebs 🕷️🕸️ 🤪 and the furniture isn't the best in that photo...and apparently bored rich people just sit in chairs that face each other and have staring contests all day...and a little ugly ottoman thingy for their cat 🐈‍⬛ ...of course

    oh my lord i didn't even notice the t-mobile store is renovated since there is a CRUMBL cookies next door?!?!? OMG!!!!!!!!!!! 😮😭🤪🍪...if you have never had one then you haven't truly lived!!!!!!!!!!!! but ps...and thank goodness that yes, it looks like the t-mobile store is getting an upgrade haha ;)

    so does anyone know, will there be some sort of renovation to the facade of the T Mobile store to make this all blend together? In the photo above you see the buildings are connected so i am hoping this will be the case... PLEASE...at least that!!! 😭😩

    So my best friend released a new single yesterday and he makes a fun mention of Numbers without saying the name: "You lived next to the club down off Montrose Street We could listen to The Pixies from your bedroom suite..." now he says on/off Montrose Street but obviously it was harder to say Westheimer in the song haha...plus it's an ode to Montrose in general which was our hangout area back in the late 90's and beyond. Oh and yep, his band Blue October used to play at Numbers as well! (He graduated from the Houston High School Of Performing and Visual Arts btw) anyway...love the new song "Where did you go I'm less of a mess these days" (love that title haha).
