There was a club hall located in an previously-occupied business called Washburn Venetian Blind Co. Frisch-Jacobs BBYW Get your party together now, and plan to attend he Frisch-Jacobs Mask Parade Dance on Halloween night, October 31, at Washburn Hall. Prizes will be award for the most original costumes . . . and all are asked o wear masks. Reservations can be made for a table, for your party, by calling Sally Schalit, OL-9916, before Oct. 31. Washburn Hall is easily found on Peerless, off O.S.T. (or behind Al's Bar near Holcombe and O.S.T. Intersections). That building wasn't there in 1953. From HCAD, I think it's more like 1970.
