Amlaham
This only says interior renovations, so I'm hoping we'll see another permit for the exterior renovations?
IntheKnowHouston
Galveston County Daily News published an update on Hotel Lucine about two weeks ago. This is the former Pearl Inn site at 1002 Seawall Blvd. The hotel and accompanying restaurant the Fancy are aiming to open in November. The article is behind a hard paywall, but here are a few highlights: "The pool is poured, new doors and windows are on site and crews are busy transforming a mid-century motel that soon will be Hotel Lucine, 1002 Seawall Blvd. in Galveston. Work has been underway for weeks at the property. But removal of the porte-cochère — the covered shelter for vehicles — has opened up the front of the building at the former site of Pearl Inn, a property that began in 1963 as the Treasure Isle Motel. Plumbing and other system work is under way and all the activity has inspired much buzz." https://www.galvnews.com/business/buzz/article_e3dca4dc-050b-5689-b68b-8662069c02d4.html Progress photos published in the article; photographed by Jennifer Reynolds/The Daily News Dave Jacoby talks about plans for the courtyard and pool area of what will be Hotel Lucine, formerly Pearl Inn, at 10th Street and Seawall Boulevard in Galveston. Mid-century architectural features will be highlighted as crews transform the former Peal Inn, 1002 Seawall Blvd. in Galveston, into Hotel Lucine.

LiverpoolTX
https://houston.culturemap.com/news/travel/hotel-lucine-thoroughfare-hospitality-split-1/ Looks like Bobby Heugel and Justin Yu are no longer associated with Hotel Lucine. Sad to see, was looking forward to what they were going to bring to the hotel. Anybody have more details?

This is located in Galveston at 1002 Seawall Blvd. When you hotlink photos from Facebook and Instagram, the images are embedded with some kind of signature that expires within a few days. After a few days, the hotlinked photo won't be visible. Try to save images from those sources (really any source) to your computer or phone, then reup them on a site like Imgur.
hindesky
"This high-anticipated boutique hotel — a complete overhaul of what was a shabby midcentury motel on the northern stretch of the Galveston Seawall — is finally ready to open to the public Nov. 10. The 61-room property at 10th Street and Seawall Boulevard is poised to be modern and design-forward: a pool and patio will still be the heart of the U-shaped motor court, but the whole package has a Wes Anderson-meets-the-Mediterranean aesthetic. The hotel says it will have the largest beachfront rooftop bar with 180-degree ocean views. In a few weeks, an “American Fine-ish Dining” restaurant called The Fancy will open." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/food-culture/restaurants-bars/article/hotel-lucine-galveston-opening-18445275.php#photo-24374726
hindesky
Hotel Lucine, which opened in November on the corner of Tenth and Seawall Boulevard, near Porretto Beach, offers something novel. The two-story, 61-room property began life in 1963 as Treasure Isle, a charming midcentury motor lodge built in a U shape around a large outdoor pool. The motel was built, owned, and operated by local architects, twin brothers who loved the building so much that they maintained their offices there. After passing out of family control, though, the motel entered a long decline. https://www.texasmonthly.com/style/hotel-lucine-galveston-photos/
