Subdude Posted October 1, 2004 Share Posted October 1, 2004 The Eastwood Historical Commission will sponsor its 9th annual Eastwood Historic Homes Tour on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17. The tour will feature a wide array of architectural styles which date from 1911 to 1952. Eastwood was created by noted Woodland Heights developer William A. Wilson in beginning in 1910-1911. Many of the homes in the area exhibit strong Craftsman influences and are sited on streets with mature trees and broad esplanades. The tour features seven privately-owned homes, Church of Redeemer, Epsicopal, and historic Dora Lantrip Elementary School, which will receive a partial restoration in the coming year. Tickets are $10 per person and will be on sale the day of the event at Dora Lantrip Elementary School, 100 Telephone Road.
